Sign in to reviewThis supermarket is more an oriental supermarket compared with the likes of Safeway, Lucky or Foodmaxx. It’s geared more towards Asian community. The store is medium size but it carries most of what you need for your daily routines. It has departments you would expect to find in an oriental market like live seafood, fresh meats, packaged meats, dairy and staples such as rice, etc. It also offers free fish frying service. The price is mostly on par with other stores if not slightly more. You need to inspect expiry date of items you buy because sometimes their items expire and they still put it on the shelves. It’s best to go in the morning when it’s not too busy. Overall it's 3.5 stars experience. Please "Like" it if you find this review helpful or useful.
If you want to stock your pantry for Asian cooking, this market is an absolute treasure trove of sauces and seasonings. It has a lot of rare things that 99 Ranch or H Mart would never stock. As someone who cooks Thai food a lot, I see a lot of rare sauces that I’ve never seen anywhere else. Some great finds: - Brown Label Megachef Fish Sauce - Hat Nem Vietnamese pork bouillon powder, the secret to a good pho - Megachef Oyster Sauce - They consistently stock fresh pandan leaves - Beerlao in light and dark varieties. SUPER rare find because I can’t find it at Thai and Lao markets in the Bay
I had a not-so-great experience at san pablo supermarket.Initially, I couldn't find my usual purple dumpling wrap, so I opted for a different one. To my dismay, when I got home, I discovered mold on it. This happened again when I tried a second time, and many wraps had mold. I spoke to the manager, who assured me they would take care of it. Yet, on my yesterday visit, they were out of the purple wrapper again, and the available ones were not just moldy but also expired. It's frustrating to see such a lack of professionalism and a disregard for quality. Despite liking the place before, this ongoing issue is making it hard to enjoy.
Wow! Never knew this was just around the corner from me. Limitless varieties of Asian groceries, fresh seafood, utensils, and more. Very reasonably priced and the Customer service was pretty good.
Love this place too much it's on my top 3 list of markets to go to and it's close to my job so I can quickly run here for anything important or if I forgot my lunch. Staff here are really sweet as well!
