Banh mi is a standout, with several reviews praising the bread for its crisp outside and soft interior. The pork roll banh mi brings together pork roll, crisp cucumber, cilantro, fresh jalapeño, and pickled daikon and carrot for a traditional combination of savory, fresh, and tangy flavors. The sticky pork banh mi is another favorite: reviewers describe thick slices of flavorful meat and a memorable sauce, paired with that same appealing baguette texture. These are good picks for diners looking for a Vietnamese sandwich with lively toppings and a satisfying contrast of textures.
There’s more to explore beyond the sandwiches. Customers mention egg rolls, hand rolls, lemonade, and Spam musubi, a shareable snack that one guest enjoyed enough to order again. The menu also includes Vietnamese-inspired grab-and-go options, making Sesame Sandwiches a practical choice when you want something more distinctive than a standard sandwich-shop lunch. Meal deals are mentioned in reviews, including a sandwich-and-egg-roll combination, though specific offerings and prices may change. If you’re choosing for a group, the mix of sandwiches and smaller bites gives you a few ways to make a casual meal.
The atmosphere comes across as easygoing and personal, with reviewers noting quick, welcoming service and especially kind owners. That makes Sesame Sandwiches in Denver a natural fit for a solo lunch, a relaxed takeout stop, or a casual meal with someone who wants Vietnamese flavors without a formal dining setting. It’s also a useful option for anyone near the East 22nd Avenue address who is deciding between a classic pork roll banh mi, sticky pork, or a snack such as Spam musubi. Reviewing a simple sandwich shop today and was pleasantly surprised. They serve some great banh-mi options and other Vietnamese inspired grab-and-go fare. They offer up some great meal deals as well - this sandwich and egg roll were had for $16 which isn’t bad at all! The sticky pork that I had was great and the portion size was fair. I’m not the biggest fan of egg rolls, but it was solid and seemed fresh. Coffee was decent and good in a pinch, but there is a coffee shop next door that the service folks actually recommend you to visit. Overall will be coming back! This is a super nice lunch option for the neighborhood!
I had a great experience at Sesame Sandwiches! The sandwich was fresh, flavorful, and made with high-quality ingredients. The staff were friendly, and the service was quick and welcoming. The restaurant was clean, the portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable. I'll definitely be coming back for another delicious meal!
Ordered the pork roll bahn mi. The french roll/baguette was on point, crunchy on the outside, soft inside. Ingredients were all crisp and fresh…the daikon and carrot pickle, cucumber, fresh jalapeno, cilantro, pork roll…very traditional and delicious. Additionally, the owners are just SUPER nice. This is definitely one of those locally owned businesses that you should absolutely love and support. 👍
What a little gem! I had their sticky pork banh mi and I have to say the flavor bomb exploded in my mouth! The bread was crispy on the outside, soft inside, but the meat is what stole the show. The slices were thick and the sauce …
went for a little treat and shared a Spam Musubi. then we had to order two more!!! it's so good, and the owner is the chillest friendly person. thanks for the hand rolls and lemonade!
