About

Shore Leave is listed on FindALoco in Boston, MA with address, phone, website, hours, and map location. Common services and related keywords include Asian Restaurant.

Shore Leave is an Asian restaurant at 11 William E Mullins Way in Boston, MA, offering an evening destination for sushi, distinctive menu choices, and drinks in a setting guests describe as fun and memorable. Tucked below an apartment building, the restaurant is reached by going downstairs, giving the arrival a tucked-away feel. Reviews say the interior’s decor makes the underground location feel intentional rather than like an ordinary basement. For visitors looking for a Boston restaurant with a sense of discovery and a lively atmosphere, Shore Leave offers a different kind of night out.

The menu includes sushi and creative options that guests say they do not see everywhere. Reviews mention spicy tuna and tempura shrimp rolls, along with wagyu skewers, and praise the sushi. One reviewer notes that the menu does not include every familiar option, such as a California roll, so diners may find it best suited to trying something beyond the usual order. These customer examples offer a useful starting point, while the menu itself may change. Shore Leave can appeal to guests who enjoy exploring a restaurant’s specialties and sharing a few different dishes over an evening meal.

Atmosphere is a recurring part of the experience people describe. Guests mention distinctive decor, warm welcomes, and a setting that can feel especially lively when the restaurant is busy or hosting a private event. Reviews also recall themed seasonal pop-ups, including Halloween and holiday gatherings, and one guest remembers karaoke as part of a night out. Those experiences may depend on the event or visit, but they help explain why Shore Leave is more than a place to stop for dinner: it can be a choice for a date, a small group, or an evening that continues with drinks after a meal nearby. Customer feedback gives the restaurant a 4.5 rating across 613 reviews.

Shore Leave is open Tuesday through Thursday from 5 p.m. until midnight and Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. until 1 a.m.; it is closed Monday and Sunday. The evening schedule makes it a fit for dinner plans and later outings, and reviews describe guests reserving tables for two as well as arriving after dinner elsewhere. If you are planning a visit, check current hours and event details before heading over, especially for a weekend or themed pop-up. Located at 11 William E Mullins Way, Boston, MA 02118, Shore Leave brings sushi, an underground setting, and a spirited social atmosphere together in one distinctive Boston stop.

This was place so cool! We stumbled across it after searching for a bar to go to after we had dinner at Capri. This was in walking distance and below an apartment building. You enter in a door and actually go town a couple flights of stars, so it a basically in the basement lol. We were warmly welcomed when we came to the host stand which made us feel better we did in fact find the right place! It was unexpectedly super cool on the inside! Classic tiki bar vibes, disco ball and sushi restaurant all in one! They were actually doing a Jell-O shot contest when we came so I got to try a few Jell-O shots and voted on the best one! They were very unique! Their drinks were delicious, I had a classic tiki one which was their signature cocktail The Shore Leave! Great vibes in this place and everyone was super friendly! Their sushi looked super good too!

Reserved a table for two on a Saturday night and the place was relatively busy along with a private event going on. The restaurant is located a few floors underground but has awesome decor and you don’t feel like you’re in the basement. Our …

Shore leave surpassed my expectations! Fun atmosphere, good service and many unique menu items. Sushi was so good! They’ve got things you won’t see elsewhere, and they didn’t offer some items you might look for, like California rolls. We ordered spicy tuna roll, tempura shrimp roll, wagyu skewers and the Dan Dan noodles. More than enough for two, and many menu items I’d like to try.

I’ve been to this restaurant a couple of times since living in Boston. I once went for their “scare leave” pop up for Halloween and my boyfriend, best friend, and I just went to their sippin Santa pop up. We had such a great time! The …

I actually don't remember much because we came here and just took drinks and shots to the face really quickly. But I remember how this place made me feel, and it was great, lmao. Really cute, spooky atmosphere. I'm pretty sure we did karaoke too but it was a blurry night. 10/10 would come back, really fun!
