Sigismondi Foreign Car Specialist is an auto repair shop at 1216 E Moyamensing Ave in Philadelphia, PA, serving local drivers who need help diagnosing and repairing a range of vehicles. Customer experiences mention work on BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Lexus, and Toyota vehicles, including both older cars and newer models. If your vehicle is giving you trouble, this South Philadelphia shop is an option to consider for hands-on repair and practical communication about the work your car may need.

Reviews describe service ranging from cooling-system repairs to difficult starting and engine concerns. One BMW owner reported bringing in a vehicle for a coolant pump and thermostat replacement and having it completed the following afternoon. Another customer said the team replaced a failed starter on a Toyota Tundra and got the truck back on the road the same day. Other reviews mention help with a BMW running roughly and an older Volvo that had broken down. These accounts give prospective customers examples of the kinds of repair situations people have brought to the shop; the right diagnosis and timing will depend on the vehicle and the issue.

Customers also point to knowledgeable, friendly assistance and quick, helpful service. One reviewer appreciated being able to discuss repair options in light of a budget, including the choice to use an original-equipment part. That kind of conversation can matter when deciding how to approach a repair, especially when parts and labor choices affect the overall cost. Experiences vary, and the shop has a 3.8-star rating from 39 reviews, so it can be useful to speak with the team directly about your vehicle, the symptoms you are seeing, and the expected next steps before arranging service.

Located on E Moyamensing Avenue, Sigismondi Foreign Car Specialist may suit drivers in Philadelphia looking for a neighborhood repair shop with customer-reported experience across several foreign makes, as well as other vehicles such as the Tundra mentioned in a review. The shop is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and closed Saturday and Sunday. Calling ahead can help you confirm availability and discuss whether the shop can address your particular repair. For commuters, families, and owners of older vehicles, clear communication about diagnosis, parts, budget, and timing can make it easier to plan a visit and decide how to proceed.

Fast service. Many parts in stock. Called Wednesday afternoon for a coolant pump and thermostat job on a BMW. Dropped it off Thursday morning and it was done by 4:30pm. Willing to work with the customer based on their budget too (I ended up going OEM), which a lot of shops won't do.

Have a 2018 tundra starter motor failed today. This is an extremely hard job to do in this truck. Joe and his team had me back on the road in the same day. Very knowledgeable and friendly service. Thanks Joe

So I was driving with my friend the other day in South Philly and her (older) Volvo broke down. We called her dad and he recommended that we go to Sigismondi Car Specialists, so we got the car towed over there immediately. I ended up staying with her because she was able to talk to the owner right away and he said he would able to have the car up and running in about 2 hours. I thought it sounded a bit too good to be true, but sure enough the car was ready to go in under 2 hours and we were able to drive on our way, without wasting the whole day! The owner was really friendly and accommodating and the prices were surprisingly reasonable (I feel like they could have taken advantage of two, young women who don't really know much about cars). Overall it was a quick, painless car fix and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs quick help with a foreign car.

We have all heard the stories of car owners who take their vehicles to mechanics, only to have the same problem reoccur. It can make us apprehensive, but I never worry about that at Sigismondi Foreign Car Specialists. I have a 99’ Lexus SC …
