Sista's Hair Cut & Beauty Salon

I’ve lived in this neighborhood for 15 coming up on 16 years. I’ve frequented this salon for that amount of time. My barber Anna Maria Sanchez left the salon about a year ago now, but just three stores down hahaha. Today on my day off I wanted to go back to this salon for purely, personal, nostalgic reasons. I got to the door, put on my tank top (hey, no shoes no shirts, no service, I get it, I’m in hospitality myself lol). I was met by the owner of the establishment behind a gated door. Cool. She has the one client. A gorgeous blonde girl getting something done to her long hair. I greet warmly as I do w anyone else. Tell her just the same I’m writing here; wanted to check the place out, maybe consider a cut/fade from her one day for ol times sake lol. But no. She wouldn’t let me in, said she was very busy (okayyyy, I just wanted to take a peek inside after being a client for 15 years lmfao). Then she even told me that I must be mistaking her business for the tattoo shop next door..? Profiling much lady? Hahahahaha. Sure I came up to the door in my comfy joggers, chanclas and without a shirt but I quickly slapped my Superman shirt back on BEFORE she “greeted” me at her door. Anyways. All of this to say, she clearly has no clue about proper guest interaction slash the basics of hospitality and how integral they are to running a place like a damn salon/barber shop hahahahahha Do yourself a favor and visit Anna Maria Sanchez two salons down. NOT this gross establishment “Sista’s”. Stinky. It was stinky too lol. Pee yewwww hahaha

From the outside, it doesn’t seem to offer much. However, this place offers beautician services for both men and women. The staff are very welcoming to all folks. The barbers seem to always be busy (good sign). You won’t be overwhelmed here because, even though everyone is friendly, most staff are focused on their craft and conversing with their customers.

I really like this place. I’ve been to a few different hair salons in the neighborhood and this one is not only the most affordable, but they I’ve received the best service and care. I was serviced by Sixta and she does a wonderful job to make you shine. They go the extra mile to make you feel confident and beautiful. I leave this place with a big smile. They also offer beard services that I haven’t tried just yet. I would recommend this place if you live in the area and need to go every so often. Man haircut is $20 now in 2020. Beard trimming and profiling I think it’s $10. Highly recommended. Great nice people 😊

I'm so glad I went to this salon! I've been looking for an affordable, clean, quality hair salon for some time. I got it all this week at Sista's salon. Sista cut my hair. She gave me the most amazing hair cut! I love it so much. I knew what I wanted in my mind but didn't have a picture and wasn't sure I explained it well. She nailed it 100% and was very thoughtful in checking to be sure it was ok, which it is. I am very happy I found a salon I can afford to keep going back to, and that does great work.

Had the absolute best experience at Sista's Hair Cut & Beauty Salon! She did an amazing blonde micro-foil on me, and I have been getting so many compliments on how great it looks.
