SIZZLE POT

★★★☆☆ I recently visited Liuyishou Hotpot & BBQ and overall I would say the experience was just average. The biggest concern for me was the way the meat was handled. The restaurant leaves the trays of meat outside for customers to grab themselves. Even though the meat was placed in a cooler, it still didn’t make the meat feel very fresh to me. With so many people opening the cooler and handling the trays, it made me a little uncomfortable. I personally feel that if the kitchen sliced the meat and prepared it by order, it would help with quality control and make the food feel fresher and more sanitary. The broth itself was decent. It had good flavor and worked well for hotpot, but it wasn’t anything particularly outstanding or memorable. I’ve had better broths at other hotpot restaurants where the flavors felt richer and more unique. The service was okay. The staff weren’t rude, but they also weren’t very attentive or impressive. It felt more like a basic, standard service experience without much interaction or effort to check in on guests. Another thing I noticed was the cleanliness of the restaurant. The place didn’t feel as clean as I would expect for a restaurant, especially one serving hotpot. Since hotpot involves raw ingredients and shared spaces, cleanliness is really important, and unfortunately that was something I felt could definitely be improved. Overall, the experience wasn’t terrible, but it also didn’t stand out in a positive way. Because of the concerns about the meat handling and the overall cleanliness, I personally don’t think I will come back.

It’s hard to find a place that offers both hot pot and BBQ under one roof, so Sizzle Pot is a great option when you don’t want to choose one over the other. Why settle for one when you can enjoy both? Each table comes with an individual mini hot pot plus a shared BBQ grill in the center, making it easy for everyone to cook exactly what they want. There are separate stations for vegetables, meats, hot foods, sauces, and desserts, so there’s plenty to choose from. If you’re looking for something a little more premium, you can also order upgraded meats and seafood through the tablet for an additional charge. One of my favorite parts was experimenting with the sauce bar. My favorite combination for hot pot was the XO Mix, while the Korean Fruitwood sauce paired perfectly with the BBQ meats. The only area that could use some improvement was the dessert station. A few of the desserts tasted a bit stale, and the soft serve was runny during our visit. Aside from that, everything else was enjoyable. Our server, Maggie, was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The music also created a fun atmosphere that made the experience even better. Overall, Sizzle Pot offers a unique all-you-can-eat experience with a solid selection of food and the rare opportunity to enjoy both hot pot and BBQ at the same time. Despite the minor issue with dessert, I would happily come back again

This place has certainly improved since being under new management in a new name. That's the nicest one even better than places in Bellevue or Seattle. I can breathe and I have a lung disease or the air quality has to be clean and I get to cook food with my friends and the service is impeccable and we have had successful gatherings here and employees seem happy. Food quality is primo and everything is so clean and organized. I think the prices match well too.

We had a great experience at Liuyishou Hotpot in Kent tonight. We came in with a party of 7, and everything went really smoothly from start to finish. Our server Sam was fantastic — attentive, friendly, and very helpful explaining the menu and making sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Hotpot can sometimes feel complicated for larger groups, but Sam made it easy and enjoyable for everyone. The broth was flavorful, the ingredients were fresh, and the whole table had a lot of fun cooking and sharing together. The service really stood out and made the experience even better. Highly recommend if you’re coming with friends or family for a group meal. We’ll definitely be back!
