Smallcakes Pearland Towncenter

The location is small and gives a minimal space for dine-in inside and out. The associate was calm as I was there today with 5 rambunctious littles who were pushing the limits of my patience and 30 minutes before closing time. Six cupcakes and five ice creams later, we were on our way. Two of the littlest said it was the best ice cream they had ever tasted (Cookies and Cream and Cookie Monster). They didn't even give me time to take pictures and all the cupcakes were eaten in the car (totally against the rules) but not a crumb was wasted. Okay, one of my littles wasted some but she deconstruct everything and turns it into a science project before and during eating.

Ok, first of all, tipping culture has gotten crazy. Why are we tipping people for doing the bare minimum and the job that the COMPANY should be paying them for. This is coming from an ex server. The reason I point this out, is because the lady at the front not only had an attitude, but had a “quiet” reaction when my boyfriend decided not to tip. I’m sorry, but why is a tip needed for boxing up cupcakes and it took less than a minute. Things like that turn me off of places. Second, the cupcakes. I am a huge red velvet fan and I know I’m picky, so I try not to judge places too hard. However, the red velvet cupcakes here don’t have that red velvet flavor and the frosting tasted like pure sugar, not like cream cheese at all. Obviously, I know that frosting is literally sugar, but CREAM CHEESE frosting is supposed to have a flavor to it. The strawberry cupcake was actually good but the service turns us off. Next time, I will be saving myself the guilt tripping and go to HEB where the red velvet tastes like red velvet and no obligation to tip.

We recently had our twins birthday party cakes done at SmallCakes at the Pearland town center. Order long was very easy. I highly recommend going and talking to them in person if you have questions or are wanting a cake design that is less common. We went with the cupcake pull apart cakes as I did not want to have to cut two different cakes. This option was awesome! A little messy but overall much easier than cutting cake slices. I will say that these style of cakes come with ALOT of frosting! If that’s not your jam?? You’re gonna be out of luck haha. Luckily this was a kids party and every kiddo loved the mountains of icing! Even the next day the cake part was still moist and tasty. We ate on the left overs for a few days post party and it was just as tasty as the first day. The designs were exactly as I had envisioned. Someone even called me after my initial consultation to talk me through some better options as what I had initially ordered wasn’t going to work. They were very helpful in making sure that the inspiration pics/characters were noted in my order. Overall I highly recommend!!

Ordered a cake plus cupcakes for my sons birthday this weekend and they did an amazing job! They were so patient with me when ordering the cake and helping me find the right size plus the right type of icing for the cupcakes, they went above and beyond! Everything tasted amazing I received so many compliments, thank you so much for making my sons day extra special!

Got some Smallcakes for the first time, and yeah... won’t be back. Grabbed a Boston cream pie and a strawberry cupcake, plus a chocolate chip cookie. Cupcakes tasted like betty Croker boxed mix vibes all day. Presentation looked like something you'd order off Temu, and the packaging was meh. Storefront had dirty windows and smudges on the door, which kinda set the tone walking in. Service was cool, but that only gets you so far when the product isn’t hitting. Cupcakes shouldn’t taste like an overpriced box mix shortcut. Not trying to hate, but ChatGPT some recipes or something.
