Loved SomiSomi! The soft serve was creamy, smooth, and not overly sweet. The warm fish-shaped waffle cone paired perfectly with the ice cream. Great flavors and friendly service! Ice cream is delicious but limited menu options, no seating available but kiosk is helpful. I felt these are a $ over priced but fine as they making waffle fish cones live.
Somisomi’s ice cream taiyaki does not disappoint! I tried the new Sakura flavor, and it was light, subtly sweet, and super refreshing (it also pairs really well with Fruity Pebbles)! The taiyaki cone was warm and crispy filled with Nutella which complimented the ice cream. Such a fun treat with a choice of a strawberry or half a macaron! Ube is still my go to flavor topped with coconut flakes and oreo crumbs for getting these cravings delivered 🍦🌸
Ice cream was enjoyable. I would have preferred it to have a stronger matcha and ube flavor instead of the strong milk flavor. I really liked their taiyaki with the custard filling.
We went there and had the Matcha soft serve with Matcha sprinkles. This is one of our favorite deserts in North Texas.
I will be sticking to the Carrollton location. There was a trainee working the taiyaki station who burned every batch and did not clean between batches leading to the burnt bits you see. He also underfilled the oreo (he split the piece in half which is why the cream is visible.) Every fish only had half an oreo total.... A different staff member (non trainee) assured us it was the normal amount, but maybe this location is just different. She was still nice enough to remake 2 out of 3 of the oreo taiyaki which is why the rating isn't lower.
