South Cove Community Health Center is listed on FindALoco in Boston, MA with address, phone, website, hours, and map location. Common services and related keywords include Community Health Center.
South Cove Community Health Center is a community health center at 885 Washington St in Boston, Massachusetts (02111). Its listed hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; it is closed Saturday and Sunday. If you are planning a visit, call ahead to confirm appointment availability, current services, and any details you need before traveling. The available information identifies the center as a healthcare provider, but does not specify a complete list of specialties, insurance plans, or languages, so those are good questions to ask directly when arranging care.
Patient feedback is mixed, and the overall rating is 1.4 out of 5 from 47 reviews. Several reviewers describe difficulty with front-desk interactions, including concerns about politeness, helpfulness, and communication when calling or visiting. One person also reported a troubling experience during a blood draw and bruising afterward. These are individual accounts, not a guarantee that every visit will be the same, but they are relevant context for people comparing healthcare options. Consider discussing any concerns with the center before booking and confirming how to reach the appropriate staff member if you need follow-up.
Other feedback is more positive. One newer patient said registration at the front desk went smoothly, phone calls were answered promptly, and receptionists were kind and multilingual. That reviewer also described the clinic as culturally sensitive and spoke favorably about their doctor. Another reviewer praised their primary care provider despite criticizing other staff interactions. Together, these comments suggest that experiences may vary by visit and by the person a patient encounters. For prospective patients, it may be useful to ask about registration, language support, appointment follow-up, and which clinician will provide care.
The reviews mention follow-up appointments, a primary care provider, and an OB visit, but they do not establish the center’s full current service offering. Contact South Cove Community Health Center directly to verify whether it provides the specific care you need, how to schedule, and what to bring. The Boston location and weekday schedule may suit people seeking a health center during standard business hours; weekend visitors should note that the center is listed as closed. With a low public rating and sharply differing accounts, prospective patients may want to weigh the available feedback alongside their own needs and confirm details before making a decision.

I call to book an appointment for follow up. The receptionist just not polite in responding. It is in the morning, but she doesn’t have energy to work. She does not have a customer service attitude. So my question is when she did interview and when the company hire is that any error during the process for hiring this person? Currently many strong applicant even get deny. So my words is chances and positions only for better person. With the receptionist answer my phone, I don’t think so
Worst staff ever!!! Not friendly and not helpful at all. some have bad attitude... But at least my PCP is nice
I have only been a patient here for a month or two but so far, the experience has been excellent. They answer the phones promptly, and I registered without any issues at the front desk. The receptionists are kind and multi-lingual, and it appears to be a very culturally sensitive clinic. My doctor is very receptive and empathetic to my needs, and has been gracious with every request of mine, and takes time to explain the healthcare system to me. They call to follow-up to remind you of your appointments, and confirm other details that show me that they have a good system of ensuring that patients do not fall through the cracks. I would recommend this clinic, particularly if you are Chinese or Vietnamese.
Absolute nightmare of an experience. The staff here have terrible attitudes- They ack like complete bullies with zero professional courtesy.
I didn't have a good experience with the nurses here when I visited my OB here last year. They are poorly trained - e.g., they poked my arm multiple times and could not draw out any blood! I had bruises all over. I have to go to the hospital and pay out-of-pocket for an ER nurse to do it - who was successful at drawing blood in one try. This year I decided to go elsewhere. I also moved away further so it made sense. Their nurse called me repeatedly, sometimes 2-3 times a day - asking me why I had cancelled my appointment this year. When I said I moved, she demanded to know where I moved to, which hospital I plan on going (because I don't have a referral), who is my new OB/PCP and why I'm not coming in anymore. After multiple attempts of telling her that I moved, she wouldn't stop calling for the last few weeks. At one point she remarked, "if you don't tell me this or follow through with what we recommended, you'll die you know." Like why would I go somewhere when I'm constantly threatened by the nurses??
