Sign in to reviewMy family and I have been here many times over the past two years and it has always been good. Whenever we want to eat something fresh and tasty we always chose Square Root Poke. It is consistently great and I definitely recommend it if you haven't been. I always get the Hawaiian bowl and replace the protein with Spicy Tuna.
Service was great but the salmon was NOT fresh. Im never the type to complain about bad food but now realizing that it is more of a concern when the raw fish isnt tasting correct, its more of a hazard than just bad food. Presentation was nice but when I started to eat my salmon poke, I realized the color of the salmon is dull and gray (?) and the texture was as if the salmon was never refrigerated correctly. It was overall really horrible tasting and just a concern of safety eating it honestly. Didnt want to complain about bad food and be a karen but looking back now from this meal I had an hour ago, raw fish tasting bad is more of a food hazard and am more paranoid about getting possibly sick. Should have spoken up at the time but just didnt want to make it a problem but realizing now, it honestly is a concern that hopefully is taken seriously
Great place to get poke in katy Asian town! Friendly service and they have a lot of options. Ordering was easy, everything was tasty and flavorful especially the sauces, I highly recommend and would come back.
Every time we've been here we've had a great experience! This time I needed to check gluten free options for my recent Celiac diagnosis, and the server was very understanding about it and I didn't get sick! The food is always delicious, the free miso and water are highly appreciated, and the atmosphere is cozy. We love coming here after watching a movie because it's so convenient and delicious! Will be coming back ☺️
The service here was exceptional — everyone was friendly and attentive, which made for a great experience. I really enjoyed that they included miso soup with the meal, a nice touch you don’t always see at poke places. I do wish they offered kimchi as one of the topping options, though. Parking was a bit tricky, but overall, the food was fresh and the experience was enjoyable.
