Stewart Mobile Repair is a car repair and maintenance service serving drivers in Fremont, California, with a listed address at 4654 Porter St, Fremont, CA 94538, United States. For vehicle owners who would rather arrange service where the car is parked, customer accounts describe a mobile mechanic coming to homes and completing repairs on site. The business holds a 4.9-star rating from 69 reviews, offering a substantial body of public feedback for a mobile operation. Reviews repeatedly mention Alex, the mechanic named in those accounts, and describe professional, friendly, knowledgeable service.

The available customer feedback gives a concrete picture of the repairs handled by Stewart Mobile Repair. One customer reports an alternator replacement on a 2008 Mercedes-Benz completed in under two hours, along with a jump-start for a very low battery. Other reviews describe diagnosing a Honda CR-V, replacing its alternator and battery the same day, and repairing a leak on an Audi at the customer's home. A past call about replacing a distributor on a 2001 Honda CR-V is also mentioned. These accounts are examples rather than a complete service list, but they indicate experience with common starting, charging, diagnostic, and component-replacement concerns across several vehicle makes. Customers should confirm whether their particular repair, parts needs, and vehicle are a fit before scheduling.

Convenience is a central part of the service experience described in reviews. Customers note appointments being scheduled, arrival timing being communicated, and the mechanic arriving on time. In one account, a repair that took much of the day was completed at the customer's home; in another, the findings on a Honda CR-V were explained thoroughly before work proceeded. That kind of direct explanation can be valuable when a car has a leak, will not start, or needs charging-system work. Repair costs and scope can differ by vehicle and diagnosis, so it is sensible to discuss the issue, expected work, parts, timing, and estimate with the business in advance.

Located in Fremont, CA, Stewart Mobile Repair may be especially practical for local drivers who value on-site assistance and clear communication, including busy households, owners managing a car that cannot easily be driven, and people seeking help with an identified repair. Listed hours are 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM Monday through Friday and 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM Saturday; the business is closed Sunday. For a Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Honda, or another vehicle, sharing the symptoms and model details when arranging service can help establish the appropriate next step. The review record points to a mobile-focused Fremont option with personal, hands-on attention.

Alex was the mobile mechanic assigned to replace the alternator on my 2008 Mercedes Benz. He arrived on time and changed that alternator in less than 2 hours. The car battery was very low on power so he jumped it. I drove the car for 40 minutes and I shut down. Next day day car started right up no problem. Thank you young man for the good job

My nephew bought a car and it sprung a leak somewhere. It being an Audi I asked some friends who they used. Alex was recommended by a couple of them. Well he did not disappoint. We called he scheduled us in he came and he fixed it same day. It took most of the day but it was done here at our home without having to tow it anywhere. Of course we will use his services again.

I called this dude a while back to help me replace a distributor on my 2001 Honda CR-V. HE QUOTED ME $700!! For context, the repair involves remove 3 12mm bolts and swapping the part. Luckily, I wasn’t in a rush. I paid another mechanic $150 and he finished the job in 35 minutes without any issues. When I told Stewart this, he couldn’t believe that it was possible. Well Stew, not everyone is dishonest. My advice to anyone reading this is to take your time, understand what work is being done, and get multiple quotes. Prices here were far higher than necessary, and people who are impatient and don’t know cars are the ones who end up paying the most. Edit: Just wanted to reply to this dude. No legitimate repair shop is going to charge anywhere near $700 for a Honda distributor. Previous work or not. I called a few repair shops and the average price was around $300 after the $80 OEM part. I even mentioned the bit about “Previous work” and it wasn’t an issue for anyone. The job is for a distributor, which is maybe one or two levels above changing a battery. Your warranty is not worth $450 my guy.

Stewart Mobile repair experience was awesome. Mechanic showed up to my daughter’ residence on time, communicated arrival timing efficiently, diagnosed the Honda CRV issue quickly and explained findings thoroughly. Replaced alternator and battery same day. Very polite and professional service.
