If you’re looking for a late-day treat in Irvine, CA, Sul & Beans is a dessert shop that stands out for Korean shaved ice and shareable sweets in the busy Diamond Jamboree area. Located at 2750 Alton Pkwy #141, Irvine, CA, this spot is known by locals who want something cold, sweet, and satisfying after lunch, dinner, or an evening out. With a 4.4 rating from 184 reviews, Sul & Beans has built a reputation as a dependable stop for bingsoo, especially for people who enjoy Korean-style desserts with layered textures and fruit-forward flavors.

The menu favorite that comes up again and again is bingsoo, the fluffy shaved ice dessert that makes Sul & Beans a recognizable dessert shop in Irvine. Customers specifically mention the strawberry cheese bingsoo, fresh mango bingsoo, and Injeolmi bingsoo as notable choices. The Injeolmi version is especially memorable for its rice cake and roasted soybean flour, giving the dessert a more traditional Korean flavor profile. Reviewers also point out that portions can feel generous, making many orders easy to share between two people. For visitors new to bingsoo, this is the kind of dessert that’s best enjoyed mixed well so the toppings and shaved ice come together in every bite.

The atmosphere at Sul & Beans is best described as casual, lively, and often busy. Because the shop is small and seating can be limited, the experience may feel more fast-paced during popular hours. Some customers mention crowds and longer prep times when it gets packed, while others enjoy coming earlier in the afternoon when it feels calmer. That makes this Irvine dessert shop a good fit for people who don’t mind a popular neighborhood spot where the focus is more on the dessert itself than on lingering in a spacious dining room. If you’re meeting a friend, taking family out for something sweet, or looking for a post-meal dessert stop, it works well for a quick, satisfying visit.

Another reason Sul & Beans fits well into the local dessert scene is its schedule. Open daily from noon into the late evening, with slightly later hours on Friday through Sunday, it’s convenient for both afternoon cravings and nighttime dessert runs in Irvine, California. That flexibility makes it appealing to students, families, couples, and small groups who want a sweet option after regular meal hours.

For anyone searching for a Korean dessert shop in Irvine with bingsoo as the main draw, Sul & Beans is a practical choice to know. The shop’s best-known items are its shaved ice desserts, especially fruit-based and Injeolmi options, and the portions are often substantial enough to share. While seating is limited and timing can matter during peak hours, many customers still come for the cool, comforting, and distinctly Korean-style dessert experience that keeps this local spot on the map.

They had great bingsoo. It would be extra amazing if it was extra smooth but other than that it was still delicious. I ordered the Injeolmi which is basically a rice cake with roasted soybean flour on top and in between the layers of the Bingsoo. I like how they added the rice cake on the top instead of just using that name for the flavor. I would definitely come back to get the green tea one because I think I'd probably prefer those flavors. Anyway on top of my Bingsoo it had almonds and I'm sure you can ask to take it out if you are allergic to nuts or don't prefer them. I don't prefer almonds either but unfortunately the menu didn't have any details on what would be on top which is really the only downside. Also it's not too big in there so many 4 or 5 people and less than that is probably better than bringing a group of 6 or more people. Anyway I'll probably add on to this review once I come back to that dessert place and try another flavor. Honestly I hope they can bring this to Orange. I think this dessert place would do well in Orange. Can't wait if they have more locations soon. ☺️🤍🤎

We got the strawberry cheese bingsoo! It was so yummy! Make sure to mix it up real good so you don’t just get plain shaved ice at the end.

It is an extremely crowded place with very limited seating. We ordered their strawberry cheese bingsoo which is a star item on the menu and the taste was boring. It also took them a long time to prepare it.

Sul & Beans is a small shop inside the Diamond Jamboree Shopping Center. Seating is limited, and the outdoor tables are cramped and not very comfortable for dining. We ordered the fresh mango bingsoo, priced at $14.95. The portion was reasonable, but the flavor was only average — just okay, especially considering the cost. Overall, the dessert felt overpriced for the quality, and the shop is better suited for a quick stop rather than a place to sit down and enjoy dessert.

So yummy. We went early afternoon so there were not many there. My mom was concerned I only ordered one until she saw it. Then she was concerned the 2 of us could not finish it. We got the mango. She kept saying how delicious it was and that she was full but kept taking "one more bite".
