Sushi Naru Pho is an Asian fusion restaurant at 8943 S Tryon St A in Charlotte, North Carolina. Its name and customer feedback point to a menu that brings together familiar Vietnamese-style pho and other Asian-inspired choices, including malatang. For people looking for a casual meal in the Charlotte area, it offers a chance to choose between a comforting soup, a customizable spicy bowl, and drinks such as strawberry lychee fruit tea. The restaurant is listed with a 4.4-star rating from 150 reviews, reflecting a range of dining experiences rather than a promise that every visit will be the same.

Pho is one of the dishes customers mention specifically. A review describes beef short rib pho, while another praises a bowl with tripe and calls the flavors fabulous. Guests who enjoy a hearty bowl of soup or want to explore different ingredients may find those details useful when deciding what to order. Feedback is not uniformly positive: one diner was disappointed with the short rib and broth, and felt the price did not match the meal. That perspective is worth keeping in mind, especially if you have particular expectations for pho or are comparing portion and price before ordering.

Malatang is another standout in the customer accounts. One reviewer describes choosing ingredients from a bar, having the bowl weighed, and then cooked and served in broth. Their Sichuan-style broth delivered a noticeable ma-la sensation, with a floral peppercorn tingle and heat that did not feel scorching. The bowl they described cost $17 for about a pound, though prices and portions may vary. This build-your-own format can suit diners who like selecting their ingredients and adjusting a meal to their appetite, while the distinctive broth offers a more adventurous option than a standard soup.

The feedback also gives a practical sense of the service. Several diners describe friendly, attentive help, including staff members who took care of their table and a cashier who tried to accommodate a request for honey wasabi sauce on the side. Another customer appreciated a fast meal after work. These are individual experiences, not a guarantee, but they suggest that guests have found the staff welcoming and the service convenient. Reviews also describe the food as fresh and flavorful, alongside the more critical account of pho, so expectations and individual preferences can shape the experience.

Sushi Naru Pho is open from 10:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday and Wednesday through Sunday, and is closed Tuesday, according to its listed hours. Its Charlotte location on South Tryon Street makes it a local option for lunch, dinner, or a meal after work. It may appeal to groups with different tastes: one person can choose pho, another can explore malatang, and someone else can order a fruit tea. If you are searching for Asian fusion in Charlotte, NC, check the current menu and prices when you visit, and consider the varied reviews as one guide to what to expect.

Food: I had the beef short rib pho and a strawberry lychee fruit tea.. I was so excited because I love a good short rib and I love good pho… I. GOT. NEITHER 😩😩 $45 total for pho and a fruit tea 😒 short rib tasted like AIR. Pho broth was mid. I ordered extra noodles.. because I usually wish I had them. Tuah NOT TODAY. Fruit tea tasted like it had old fruit. Just didn’t taste fresh AT ALL. Like the tea was even made a few days ago possibly. Out of town for work and disappointed 😔 Service : was nothing to write about.. they weren’t rude, just not friendly or engaging which made the atmosphere : bland The place was empty and I should have read the room but I ordered online and didn’t want to change my mind after they had already made it but not I’m out of $45 and still hungry

I stopped by on my way home from work and decided to walk over and check out the menu for the first time instead of going to Burger King. The cashier, along with the employee he was training, was very helpful and attempted to accommodate a simple request for honey wasabi sauce on the side, which is already used on their chicken wings. The request was entered into the system, I was rung up, and I was preparing to pay when a manager walked over and stated that they could not do it. When I mentioned that the option had already been entered into the system, she responded that the employee had “just created that.” Rather than honoring what had already been rung up especially considering the employee was in training she wanted the request removed. At that point, I simply said that was fine and asked for her name. I was surprised to learn that she was actually the manager, which made the interaction even more disappointing. The employees assisting me were polite and genuinely trying to provide good customer service. Unfortunately, the management interaction completely changed my first impression of the restaurant. I would strongly suggest additional customer service and leadership training for the management team, particularly around how situations involving new or training employees are handled in front of customers. A small request could have been handled much differently and turned into a positive first-time experience.

Had a great experience here! Tia and Mirza were both super friendly and made sure we were taken care of the whole time. The service was on point, and the food was honestly really good. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and well made. Definitely a spot I’d come back to!

Hit this Asian fusion spot for a dinner and went straight for the Malatang. You grab a bowl, pile in whatever you want from the bar, and they weigh it, cook it, dunk it in broth. Mine clocked in at $17 for about a pound; the Sichuan broth had legit ma-la tingle, floral peppercorn buzz without scorching your soul. Everything came out piping hot, perfectly timed. Dry pot was the star: same pick-your-ingredients setup, but stir-fried with chili oil, garlic and etc. Chicken stayed juicy, potatoes soaked up the sauce, wood ears added that satisfying snap. Hibachi chicken plate kept it simple but nailed the basics: tender thigh meat, crisp-tender veggies, glossy soy-garlic glaze, and a mound of fried rice that actually tasted like it saw a wok. No complaints. Prices run by the pound, so it’s on you to not go full Viking at the ingredient station. Service was on point: staff explained the weigh-and-cook system without hovering. Place was busy but not chaotic; vibe is clean, modern, zero attitude. Spotted pho on the menu and I’m already plotting the return. Next time I’ll weigh my bowl like I’m smuggling diamonds.
