About

Sweet Kingdom is listed on FindALoco in Boston, MA with address, phone, hours, and map location. Common services and related keywords include Dessert Restaurant.

Sweet Kingdom is a dessert restaurant at 7-15 Beach St in Boston, MA, a convenient stop for something sweet near Chinatown. Customer reviews describe a small shop with classic Chinese and Taiwanese-style desserts, including shaved ice, tofu pudding, dessert soups, and boba tea. The menu also has options such as fruit with vanilla ice cream, so a group can find different treats to suit different tastes. It may be a good fit after exploring the neighborhood, sharing dessert with family, or taking a break from a busy day in the city.

Shaved ice is one of the dishes customers mention most. Reviews describe versions with coconut milk, beans, and root-based toppings, as well as mango served in generous chunks. Boba tea is another option, and one visitor noted that the boba and mango tasted fresh. Experiences with the ice itself can vary: one review found the pieces unusually large and not finely shaved. If texture matters to you, that detail is useful to keep in mind when choosing what to order.

For a warm treat, Sweet Kingdom also serves tofu pudding and dessert soups. One customer visiting on a cold, rainy day especially enjoyed hot tofu dessert, describing its silky-soft tofu alongside taro jelly with a pleasantly chewy contrast. Another family found that vanilla ice cream with fruit, mango shaved ice, and soft tofu pudding offered something for each of their picky eaters. These reviews suggest a menu with both chilled and warm choices, making the shop appealing in different weather and for diners who want more than one style of dessert.

The atmosphere appears casual and compact. A weekend evening review described the shop as packed, with limited seating and a shared small table, while another customer appreciated quick, friendly service and thorough menus. That combination may suit visitors looking for an informal dessert stop rather than a spacious, leisurely dining room. The location just outside a parking garage was also called convenient after walking around Chinatown. Sweet Kingdom has a 4.1 rating from 347 reviews, offering a broad snapshot of customer experiences; individual preferences about texture, warmth, and seating can still differ.

Hours vary by day: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday are listed as 12:30–9:30 p.m.; Tuesday opens at 5:30 p.m. and closes at 9:30 p.m.; Friday and Saturday run from 12:30–10:30 p.m. If you are planning a visit, check the day’s hours before heading over, especially on Tuesday or later in the evening. Reviews also note that credit cards are accepted, with a $10 minimum. For Boston locals, students, families, and Chinatown visitors, Sweet Kingdom offers a range of familiar Asian-inspired desserts, from boba and fruit-topped ice to warm tofu pudding.

We had a great time here on Sunday! The service was nice and quick, and the menus were thorough. My only complaint about the food is that the shaved ice was super icy, as in the ice was still in huge pieces, barely shaved. Other than that, the boba and mango tasted fresh, the prices were very reasonable, and I enjoyed it overall.

Walked in during a cold rainy day and has a hot tofu dessert. It was amazing and exactly what I needed. Tofu was silky soft, the taro jelly contrasted so nicely with some chewy texture. Highly recommend.

Terrific small Chinese dessert shop serving up classic Taiwanese styles shaved ice with coconut milk, beans and root based toppings. Boba teas and other options also available. They take credit cards (Visa, MC, AMEX) but need a $10 minimum.

There was something for everyone in my family of picky eaters- vanilla icecream served with bits of fruit on the side, shaved ice with generous chunks of mango, and soft tofu pudding. Everyone was happy. It’s right outside the parking garage- so super convenient after walking around Chinatown.

Came here late weekend night in March while in Boston for college tours. The place was packed and shared a small table with 2 strangers. They have a good selection of desserts but we wanted something warm given how cold it was outside. The quality of the dessert soup we ordered was so-so but the shaved ice and waffle looked really good.
