Sweet Snow

We went on a Monday afternoon. There were no customers but we did see some empty bowls left behind on the counter. The staff member maybe owner was very nice and pleasant. He knew we were visiting and gave us an option to mix 2 flavors which is not standard protocol. We ordered the corn with strawberry and the cinnamon toast bing soos. Presentation was good but that’s about all. The flavors on both were very faint and undetectable. Even if there were more condensed milk it wouldn’t have saved the shaved ice. It lacked maybe some kind of flavor drizzle like strawberry to bring it all together. It was extremely dry. Pretty much like just putting some cereal on ice. It was also expensive ($22!! Plus $5 tip) for these 2 very mediocre items. Ouch! Will not be back.

Got the Oreo Bingsoo from Sweet Snow in large. This was definitely a good amount to share and cost about $18. I got mine to go, but what I appreciated is that there was a layer of mochi and Oreo on top AND the middle! I would say the only thing to be aware of is that it’s in a food court, it’s not a standalone location. However, that means you could grab lunch or dinner and stop here for dessert! I will definitely be back once it gets warmer to try another one of their flavors.

Best bingsu in the OC! Stumbled upon this hidden gem during my pregnancy craving and it didn't disappoint! It is inside a little Asian food hall to the right of the seating area. The owners are extremely nice and attentive to their customers. I felt like we were guests at their house because the service was so genuine and one of love. My sister and I came on a weekend that was packed and the only table we saw after ordering was dirty. The owner spotted it and cleaned it up himself before making our order and delivering it to us a few minutes later. We got the large strawberry special and they didn't skimp out on the strawberries. They were all plump and sweet, none of the mushy texture too! The bingsu itself is creamy and fine, melts and dissolves like flavored snow! I always find myself asking for extra condensed milk at other Korean bingsu shops, but Sweet Snow delivers and over exceeds my expectations. It's so good I went back the same week for more! They do offer to go bingsu via your Tumblr but I always forget to bring mine to try. Looking forward to trying that and new menu Items soon! Highly recommend checking them out if you're in the area and craving bingsu! Every visit, I see other returning customers back too so you know it's a hit!

We ordered a large mango and Oreo shaved ice. Both were delicious. The owner was kind enough to give us a bit more mochi. I also noticed that you can mix two fruit flavors. I’ll try that next time I’m in the area.

The Injeolmi bingsu was amazing! Loved the nutty flavor and the crunch from the nuts — so satisfying! The sweet red beans and condensed milk were the perfect combo. Every bite just made me smile 😋 So happy I found such a delicious injeolmi bingsu spot here in Garden Grove. My husband and I shared a regular size and literally wiped the bowl clean 😂 Also grabbed cheese and Nutella fish buns for the kids — they were gone in seconds!! 😆 The kids said they were so good and begged me to get more next time. Everything was tasty, prices were super reasonable, and the vibes were great. Definitely coming back with the kids next time 🥰🍧
