Sign in to reviewLots of buzz around this coffee shop! I have seen it continuously on my Instagram feed, and the color of their matcha always looks so promising. I got the MATCHA EINSPANNER and despite the hype around the matcha here... I didn't like it :( My friends (who have been before) told me it must have been an "off day" because they were shocked at how bitter and earthy my matcha was! The einspanner cream was definitely impressive, so it's a bummer this wasn't better. If I come back, maybe I'll give their hojicha a try instead!
This is easily one of my top three spots in Orange County for matcha, hojicha, and tea overall. The drinks are always consistent, well-balanced, and thoughtfully made—you can tell there’s real care behind every cup. I personally prefer the Garden Grove location of Taty’s Specialty Coffee & Tea. While the seating area is smaller, it feels more sleek and slightly more upscale, which makes it a great place to slow down and actually enjoy your drink. Beyond the quality, I also want to highlight how generous and supportive this business has been toward educators in my experience. That kind of thoughtfulness really matters and sets them apart. Reliable drinks, beautiful presentation, and genuine hospitality—this place never misses. Highly recommend if you love matcha, hojicha, or thoughtfully crafted tea.
Selected this for the reviews and matcha pictures. Jasmine milk tea w/boba: good tea taste but lacked aroma and fragrance distinctiveness. Boba center on the more chewey side. 4* Double matcha "ceremonial grade": 50% sweetness, missing the double matcha taste and aroma....can barely distinguish the matcha. 3* Overall: 3.5*
If you're looking for high quality matcha, this is the spot! I ordered Classic Matcha Latte , my drink was perfectly and not too sweet. The staff is super fast and friendly, I got my order in 5 mins! and this location is so much convenient with easy parking. Love the spacious, casual vibes here. Plus, they have a customer restroom!
They have two locations. The one on Westminster has food on the menu, not this one. It was late so I didn’t get matcha or coffee. I would have loved to try the corn matcha but instead I got the pandan milk. That tasted very much like pandan and whole milk. Also got Iron Buddha oolong tea which was just tea and honey sweetener. Very strong, bold and fragrant tea flavor. They had a kiosk to order or from the person behind the cashier. Drinks came out quick and they had two 30 min parking spot in front reserved for them. This was helpful because the gym took up the whole plaza.
