I didn't know what to expect when I walked in but it is very clean and well organized. Doesn't have a lot of food but there are some snack items. The store is basically half blind box items and half toiletries like cleaning products (even toilet paper), makeup, skincare, personal hygiene etc and also some small storage containers and stationary. They have a few brands of hairdye in the back left that were very cool, greens, ash, rose and blue hues. Great place for gifts and to stop in for some fun!

First-time visitor and I was genuinely blown away! TESO Life in San Antonio is an absolute treasure trove for anyone obsessed with Asian snacks, unique finds, and cute home goods. The store is spotless, beautifully organized, and the shelves are packed with items I’ve never seen before—rare Japanese snacks, an overwhelming variety of chips, candies, drinks, instant noodles, plus a solid cold section, stationery, and small household essentials. I could have easily spent 2+ hours just wandering the aisles, discovering new flavors and products. The selection feels endless and far more curated than typical Asian markets. Even better, the staff was super friendly and helpful. We spent over $60 and they surprised us with a thoughtful Easter gift—such a nice touch that made the experience even more memorable! This place is a must-visit if you’re into Asian snacks, beauty items, collectibles, or just love exploring unique imports. Pro tip: lines can sometimes wrap around the building (especially on busy days or new item drops), but it’s totally worth it. Next time I’m in town, I’ll definitely be back—and I’ll ask about those drops! Highly recommend for locals and visitors alike. 5 stars!

Omg such a neat place!!! They have everything!!!! All Japanese and some Korean items. Food, drinks, toys, home goods, makeup, cleaning supplies. I could spend hours here!!!! Can’t wait to come back and really take my time. The seaweed calbee shrimp chips and calbee Thai curry chips were to die for! It’s a much check out and take your kids!!! Also the have a rewards program, very clean and organized and super nice/helpful employees! I’d give it 10 starts if I could

Second time at Teso Life and once again… this place is dangerous 😅 Every time I come in it’s packed, and now I get why. They’ve got snacks, drinks, plushies, blind boxes, collectibles, skincare, and all kinds of cool finds you don’t see everywhere else. Big surprise this visit: they sell imported beers AND sake 🍺🍶 I grabbed Lucky Dog IPA and Flying IPA and both were super smooth. Lucky Dog is hoppy but easy to drink, while Flying IPA brings a stronger hop kick when you’re in that mood. Definitely my new go-to spot for grabbing a beer on the go. They also had a Hefeweizen and a Red Ale I haven’t tried yet, but I’m sure those will be just as good. Shoutout to the Lemon Slice Soda 🍋 My spouse is pregnant and wanted something refreshing and not sweet — this one nailed it. Light, crisp, and it actually has a fresh lemon slice inside. She grabbed it to help with burping and I ended up finishing it because it was that good 😂 Pregnancy-approved ✔️ I also grabbed a couple Pringles flavors I’ve never seen before and can’t wait to try them. Brought my two girl cousins with me and they loved it — left with plush figures and some self-care goodies (they have a LOT of options). They keep some of the good collectibles behind the counter 👀 and I’m definitely coming back to pick up a Gundam kit. Pro tip: go when they open or early Sunday morning if you want to avoid crowds. Great spot for kids and adults alike — just be ready to spend more than you planned 😄

I stopped by Teso Life this afternoon and was seriously impressed. If this is what Japanese grocery stores are like, I get the hype. At first, the sheer amount of visual stimulation can be a bit overwhelming, but once you settle in, the appeal becomes clear. The variety is incredible—everything from steak-flavored chips to my new favorite, sriracha chickpeas. There’s genuinely something for everyone. If you’re nearby, it’s definitely worth checking out.
