Sign in to reviewI can tell upon entering the Dallas location for this two store local chain that the person behind the counter was special. Turns out the owner herself runs the store through the week. She's worked here 15 years and purchased from the previous owner last year when he retired. If you're looking for Texas memorabilia or if you're a tourist wanting something nice to take home then you can find it here. The store sits on the third floor of the mall.
Got my little touristy thing for a little kiddo. I wish they had more Texas themed toys/clothes for kids. The selection is very limited and a lot of the personalized items like the name plates and Texas ranger badges had names that were out of stock. The gentleman who was working the cash register could have been more helpful. The speakers were also blasting a baseball game at the volume of a sports bar 🤷♂️ As a native Texan, it’s not our best look for sure. I’m hoping the airport has better options when I head back.
Jeannie is the best, always a great selection, love coming here with my daughter and husband
When I started writing this review, I was going to give a one star. The (bald) gentleman behind the counter never acknowledged me or my family of 7. Actually, I felt like he was monitoring the entire family making sure nothing was missing from his shelves. I asked 5 of my family members to wait outside in the mall area while I shopped. I really liked a Santa that was for sale. My husband asked him for the price due to my uneasiness of the entire welcoming. I was surprised that his demeanor suddenly changed from what I felt was profiling to friendliness and then proceeded to tell us about the owner and how she came to purchasing the store. We got the original price, then the sale price. Throughout the sale, he made small talk and smiled a lot. I asked for a box to carry out my now purchased Santa and informed he had no boxes or bubble wrap to send item safely home. I asked if they ship and was told no shipping available due to the owner not wanting to ship anything anymore. The gentleman may not be approachable or seem friendly, but he really is a nice man. As a customer we shouldn't have to work hard for an employees friendly customer service, it should come natural, but maybe changing your perspective in people does help. I gave this man another chance to make it right and he did which is why my honest review is listed. The shop is cute and reasonably priced. Maybe they wait until most of the merchandise is sold to reorder, but I hope they restock soon.
I was needing some birthday gifts and saw Texas Treasures at Irving Mall. I thought that would be something different. I was surprised to see so many different options of items as the store was small. Prices were in the right range I was looking for. I was pleased on my purchases and enjoy the experience.
