Sign in to reviewI usually don’t like to write reviews, but this place stood out in a negative way. I ordered a vanilla latte and asked to adjust the sugar so it wouldn’t overpower the vanilla flavor. The cashier assured me it wouldn’t affect the taste and would only reduce the sweetness. However, when I received the drink, it was completely tasteless. I asked if it could be made regular way instead. The cashier offered to give me extra vanilla powder in separate container and suggested I mix it myself. Since it was an iced drink, I stated that it would make it clumpy. She said she would do the same anyway. I gave a confused look, and she then asked if I wanted her to remake it. I agreed, and appreciative. She didn’t seem happy about taking it back, but she did. Both she and another staff member gave me a very cold stare, as if the issue was my fault. I’m glad the drink was remade but it wasn’t good as the one I recently ordered in LA. Now looking at the reviews from others I can confirm customer service here is bad. =\ I’m debating whether to drink it just to avoid wasting money or don’t throw it away and gain the calories.
I am so happy The Coffee Bean is near my home in Irvine! The taste of the coffee here is truly exceptional. They have a wide variety of coffee options, from classic espresso and cappuccinos to unique seasonal flavors. Every cup I've had is rich, smooth, and perfectly brewed. The customer service is top-notch—staff members are always friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help with recommendations. I appreciate the small retail rack they have, where you can buy stylish coffee mugs, fresh coffee beans, and even brewing accessories. It's a great way to bring a piece of The Coffee Bean experience home. The atmosphere is really inviting. Whether you're meeting friends, working on your laptop, or just relaxing with a book, you'll feel right at home. They have comfortable seating both inside and outside. I love sitting outside with my laptop, enjoying the beautiful weather and the peaceful environment. Overall, The Coffee Bean in Irvine delivers high-quality coffee and an exceptional experience every time. Highly recommend!
Yesterday, I had a very awkward experience at this store. I ordered a hot latte in medium size with only one shot espresso. I prefer light coffee drink, otherwise it makes me dizzy. When I tasted it, I felt it is strong for me, so I asked a cashier that I can have a half cup of steamed milk. The cashier asked me what size of cup I want and I chose a medium size. The cashier told me it will be charged around 4 dollars for a half steamed milk of medium sized cup. I explained why I need extra milk for my latte and the cashier said I should choose to be charged or just a little milk for free. The cashier’s attitude felt bold and rigid. I have not been treated this way in any other coffee shops. They kindly offered extra milk for free to accommodate customer’s need. Sad about the experience @ my beloved cafe.
Ordered hot earl gray tea. It was a good quality. The staff were professional. The interior design was good and gave a coffee shop feeling. It was a little crowded when I visited on Sunday night. It is conveniently located in a plaza. Recommend this coffee shop.
I ordered at 6:48 and got my one drink one food item order at 7:13. I was almost late for work. The manager gave me a 1 dollar off coupon which is... Something? This is not the first time this has happened. The scheduling manager needs to get it together and schedule more people during peak times. This location does not even have a drive through. It's unfortunate because I prefer Coffee Bean to Starbucks but Starbucks is actually reliable.
