In one account, a patient receiving implant treatment names Dr. Dennis Prat, assistant Ms. Vinh Tam, and the wider team, describing them as professional, friendly, patient, and attentive. Another long-time patient says the office helped arrange a same-day emergency visit for a dental repair and values the professionalism and care received over more than 25 years. These individual experiences make The Dental Touch Oakland relevant for Oakland patients exploring implant treatment or needing to speak with a dentist about an unexpected repair. Comfort is another recurring part of the experience described by reviewers. One patient who feels anxious about dental care says Dr. Pratt makes them feel safe and cared for, praising his skill, patience, and the care taken during cleanings. A separate review from someone who had postponed dental visits for years because of insurance, finances, and anxiety describes Dr. Marjen Motallebi, DDS, and RDA Edith as kind and professional. First appointments can carry extra worry after a long gap in care, and these accounts offer useful context for people who value a considerate conversation about their oral health and treatment needs.

With weekday hours and a Saturday option, the practice may suit working households, long-time local patients, and people restarting routine dental care. It may also be a practical Oakland choice for someone seeking a provider with patient-reported experience in implants, cleanings, and emergency repair visits. Dental care needs, treatment plans, and coverage differ from person to person, so it is helpful to ask in advance about an estimate, payment responsibilities, insurance, and the details of any recommended procedure. Contacting The Dental Touch Oakland directly lets patients confirm current availability and make an informed, comfortable decision about their next visit.

One star. The actual dental work being done was fine, but I had two separate issues with their billing / payments. I won't go into a ton of detail, I'm really writing this out because I feel that their billing is predatory. Though you're quoted a price over the phone and reassured that price / billing code for the service when checking in, the actual amount they bill you is higher. It's happened to me twice at Dental Touch. After my last appointment, I was checking out to leave. They told me the service - which was literally cleaning a quarter of my mouth and checking my bite on the lower jaw over the course of 15-20 min - was $260 MORE than what they'd quoted me over the phone and in person. I called them out on this, rightfully so, and the woman at the front desk raised a bit of an attitude (this is in front of all other staff and customers) and told me I needed to either pay the full amount or sign up for some financing option that they had a QR code for. And what am I supposed to do? Raise my voice more? Argue back? I ended up paying, but it was a bit humiliating and predatory. I'd had a billing issue with them previously, which was partially resolved, so it's probably on me for going back. But I did my due diligence. I asked several times - I asked the man at the front desk over the phone and their front desk associate when I got there for the appointment - what the cost of the service would be. They looked up the codes for the service I'd be getting done, looked at my insurance, and gave me a price. I get the service done (which was much quicker than expected), then am given a completely different price upon leaving. And I don't have any recourse.. I'm lectured, pressured into some financing option, and this all happens in front of staff and customers. It's predatory and I definitely won't be going back. My wife, son and I will be finding a new dentist.

Dr. Pratt is the most amazing dentist that has ever existed!! I am so anxious about dental care. And so picky, but he makes me feel so safe and taken care of. He is extremely skilled and patient. He does the cleanings himself and with so much care! I can never be grateful enough for what a good experience I have as a patient in his office. Thank you, Dr. Pratt!!

I hadn’t been to the dentist in many years due to lack of insurance, finances, and anxiety. I finally made an appointment with The Dental Touch and I’m glad I did. Dr. Marjen Motallebi, DDS and RDA Edith were incredibly kind and professional. Even though my first appointment ran longer than expected, they made the time to finish my procedure that day. Most importantly, I was never made to feel embarrassed or shamed for how long it had been since I seen a dentist. My teeth were in rough shape. I’ve had a handful of visits since, and they’ve all gone well. It’s a work in progress, but I’m truly grateful for their care. I can’t thank them enough.
