Hot pot is a standout choice at The Q. Guests describe trying spicy hot pot and choosing dual broths, then cooking ingredients such as beef, lamb, and vegetables in the broth at the table. One review praises A5 Miyazaki Wagyu for its marbling and tenderness, while another notes that a server helped first-time hot-pot diners understand how to enjoy the meal. That guidance can make the experience approachable even if you have not tried hot pot before. Broth choices and fresh ingredients make it a meal to share at an unhurried pace, rather than simply ordering a single entrée and leaving.
There are options beyond the hot pot, too. A reviewer enjoyed fried vegetable spring rolls served with a sweet sauce, and another mentioned beef with spicy green pepper. These examples offer a sense of the menu’s range, from a crisp starter to a more substantial, boldly seasoned main dish. If you are deciding what to order, you can ask your server about the available broths and ingredients, especially when visiting with a group that wants to try several combinations. The reviews also describe thoughtful service, including help with hot-pot choices and wine recommendations.
The atmosphere is described as Asian-inspired, energetic, and busy, with the restaurant especially lively on a Friday evening and during a holiday visit. That setting may suit a dinner with friends, a group meal, or a special night out when you want the meal itself to be part of the occasion. One guest stopped in before a show and was pleased to find a table without a reservation; other reviewers mention busy service and planning ahead. Since availability can vary, consider checking directly about reservations if you have a particular time in mind.

We stopped in to grab some dinner before the show and were quite pleased. We did not have reservations but were lucky enough to grab a table. For starters we had the fried veggie Spring Rolls which were served with a sweet sauce and tasted delicious. For my entree I had the beef with spicy green peppers. The peppers were very spicy but it gave my meal a great taste. My girlfriend ordered the chicken teriyaki skewers. The order had 4 rather large pieces of chicken, which we used the sweet dipping sauce-it was really good. Lastly she ordered the scallion pancakes which were nice and crispy. Overall, we really enjoyed our time and meal here. Definitely a cool spot!!!
We stopped in on a Friday night around 6 p.m. with no reservation and were lucky they were able to squeeze us in. Great little spot with a cool Asian-inspired vibe and a fun atmosphere. We decided to try the hot pot for the first time—no idea what we were doing—but our server was amazing. She walked us through everything and made the whole experience easy (and honestly, a lot of fun). We went with one spicy broth and one non-spicy broth, and everything we cooked up was delicious. We also ordered a sushi roll—the Red Sox roll(I think)—and it was fantastic. Fresh, flavorful, and beautifully made. All in all, a great spot to try something different in Boston. If we’re back in town, we’ll definitely eat here again.

The food at Q Restaurant was excellent! We indulged in the spicy hot pot and every bite was incredible. Johnathan was an outstanding server and a wine connoisseur, his recommendations perfectly complemented the meal and elevated the entire experience. We were also warmly welcomed by a wonderful hostess, which made the atmosphere feel inviting from the moment we arrived. Exceptional service, amazing food, and a fantastic dining experience overall. Highly recommend!
