The Studio Hue Salon : Aveda

I am very disappointed with my experience. Before the haircut, I specifically asked Jeff to keep the back longer because I wanted an asymmetrical bob with a soft, longer shape. Unfortunately, my request was ignored, and the back was cut much shorter than I wanted. What disappointed me the most was how the appointment ended. The stylist held up a second mirror to show me the back of my haircut for only about a second before immediately putting it away. I barely had enough time to look at it. Before I could properly inspect the haircut or ask any questions, he quickly walked to the front counter for me to pay. Looking back, I felt as though I wasn’t given a genuine opportunity to see the back of my haircut before leaving the salon. If I had been able to inspect it properly, I would have immediately pointed out the issues and asked for them to be corrected. Instead, I only realized how uneven and poorly shaped the back was once I got home. The haircut has uneven ends, too much weight in the back, and a disconnected transition into the longer front. It looks nothing like the clean, polished asymmetrical bob I requested. I understand that mistakes can happen, but I expected my requests to be respected and to be given enough time to review the finished result before paying. Instead, I left feeling rushed and now have to spend additional time and money to have my haircut corrected elsewhere. 😞

Absolutely outstanding experience! I cannot say enough good things about The Studio Hue Salon : Aveda. From the moment I walked in, the entire staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive. My hairstylist, Lily, did an absolute exceptional job! She listened carefully to exactly what I wanted, offered great expert advice, and executed it perfectly. My hair has never looked or felt better. The entire experience was relaxing and top-notch from start to finish. I’ve been a loyal client here for nearly 4 years, coming in regularly and spending a significant amount of money along the way. Today, I only got a style — no wash — and was charged $45 by the stylist who did my hair. Then Lily came over and told me I actually owed $70 for the same no-wash style, because I “have extensions now.” Nowhere was I told extensions meant a different pricing tier before the service, and there was no wash involved to justify the jump. This isn’t about the money — it’s a principle thing. Just because someone can afford to pay, it doesn’t mean they’re stupid enough to be taken advantage of. After years of loyalty and consistent business, being hit with a surprise upcharge like this felt opportunistic and disrespectful. Being a longtime client should mean more than this, not less. I usually spend $200+ per visit. Today was supposed to be just a quick style. I won’t be returning and I won’t promote or recommend them anymore.

I’ve been going to Lily for over 5 years, and she is simply the best! She just did a fresh partial highlight for me that turned out beautiful, natural, and bright. She’s super fast without ever rushing the quality, and her prices are beyond reasonable. Highly recommend!
