Pho is a central draw in customer feedback. One guest calls the vegetarian pho their best ever, praising a deeply satisfying base, while another notes that the Pho Tai arrives fresh and delicious with a clean, well-balanced broth. Reviewers have also enjoyed chicken fried egg rolls, a crisp accompaniment for a bowl of soup or a fuller meal. Beyond pho, reported orders include banh xeo, the Vietnamese crepe; a vermicelli combo; bun rieu; and bo tai chanh, lemon beef slices. That breadth makes Tigon worth considering when different tastes at one table call for several Vietnamese dishes. It also lets returning diners move beyond a standard bowl of pho.
The atmosphere is part of what distinguishes a visit. Guests describe a large, nicely decorated interior with wooden tables and chairs, greenery, flowers, lighting, and abundant natural light. Those details suggest a welcoming setting for an unhurried lunch or dinner, whether the plan is to focus on a steaming noodle soup or sample multiple plates. Customers have also praised kind, helpful staff. At the same time, feedback is not identical across every visit: a few reviews mention service or dish-level concerns. This mix of perspectives gives diners a more useful, candid picture as they decide what to order. The reported room details give the meal a sense of space that differs from a quick takeout stop.
Tigon suits pho fans, vegetarian diners interested in a standout vegetarian pho, and anyone seeking Vietnamese dishes within an Asian fusion restaurant in El Cerrito. It can be a particularly practical choice for diners who want both familiar soup options and dishes such as banh xeo or vermicelli. The restaurant is open 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM Monday and Wednesday through Sunday, and is closed Tuesday. Before planning a visit to its San Pablo Avenue address, checking the current hours directly is a sensible step. With a menu shaped around Vietnamese favorites and a bright, plant-accented room, Tigon offers a distinct local place to sit down and eat.

Sign in to reviewThe best Vegetarian Pho I have ever had. The base is really amazing. The staff is very kind and helpful. Really wonderful atmosphere as well. Wooden tables and chairs with greenery and lots of natural light.
Big, nicely decorated interior, good food, service can be better. Tried banh xeo (Vietnamese crepe), vermicelli combo, bun reu, bo tai chanh (lemon beef slices). All tasted good. Recommended.
The chicken fried egg rolls and the Pho Tai soup was fresh, and delicious. The broth was clean and the taste was perfect.
Surprised by the positive Reddit reviews because my experience was disappointing. The pho was overcooked, oily, and tasted unrefined? That we did not finish. I also ordered the crepe, and unfortunately the lettuce and raw vegetables tasted like soap, which made the dish inedible. Given the price point, I expected much better quality and attention to detail. The customer service was friendly and the portions were generous, but the food quality and care did not justify the cost. I would recommend skipping this place.
I just learned that this restaurant changed ownership from the previous Nong Thon restaurant and decided to give it a try. The menu was upgraded with many more new dishes (which made me so excited!!!!!!). They kept the interior decoration pretty much the same, and add more flowers and more lights, which I love it. The quality and presentation of their food is much better. I love their Fried shrimp rolls, that is a MUST TRY dish, guys!!!! also their Beef Pho and huge fresh spring rolls are delicious too. The portion of food is big and reasonable to compare with the price. I ordered the Crispy fried noodle, and requested them to make the sauce separately. I added the sauce a little bit at a time to my noodle so that I can have the noodle crispy until my last bite. One thing I love from this restaurant is that they are very flexible with your order, you can modify and ask them to make it special customized as you want. 10 points for their customer services.
