Tope's Auto Repair

I try to use local not chain business to support my community. I have used Topes 2x - both times I had to return car bc it wasn’t done right or they caused unrelated problem (like replacing only 1 of 4 engine items when all should be done at same time. Replacing only 1 caused the next one to fail and so on). Most recent AC repair which works great! So happy about that but was pricy. However they pulled out some wires to radio/back-up camera so had to take back and leave for 2 more days so they could figure it out (no courtesy vehicle either time). Turns out they had disconnected wires on radio console so was easy fix. However husband opened hood that weekend and engine cover was missing (screwed in part). Took back to Topes and was told by Joe they never went under hood to fix AC but he’d ask technician who was at lunch. I knew that was not true bc they’d given me a list of suggested “repairs” (air filter, battery) that they only could have known by looking under the hood and that piece. Called me 2-hrs later and said they’d found that piece in their shop so had to AGAIN take back so they could screw it back in. Just no quality control at all. I gave them a second chance but not giving them a third.

8/2/16: I just picked up my 06' Pontiac from them yesterday after work. This was not my fist time having work done at Tope's. Once again, Joe and the shop did an outstanding job. They assessed the AC issue with my car, didn't try to sell me or produce a bigger issue, and the repair time was very good. Tope's is the place to go for quality and honest auto repairs.

Customers for about 15 years and car owners for over 50 years, our family has encountered innocents, idiots, crooks and creeps in car repair, so we cast a wary and weary eye when Tope's first worked on our cars. We have been and continue to be pleased with the civility, honesty, technical skill, and humanity Tope's consistently delivers at a fair price. We've been using Tope's for all our auto repairs for years and would not go anywhere else. We even purchased a car from them over almost 2 years ago and, to date have not had any issues with it. They've always gone above & beyond in our opinions. Great people, great service. Always!
