Growing up, I would watch my mom make Trung Nguyen G7 instant coffee almost every morning. Then later as an adult, we walked by the massive storefront in Saigon while vacationing. I am so glad to find out that they have expanded worldwide and have 2 locations in SoCal! The Santa Ana location is super charming with a relaxing atmosphere. You can purchase their handcrafted drinks and specialty coffee products here. The menu is very creative and definitely catered to all drink enthusiasts as they have matcha, hojicha, and teas as well. The espresso and egg coffee were super strong but amazing in depth and quality. Matcha was creamy and had a nutty aftertaste (just how I like it!). And I wanted to try something new so I got the Peaches and Cream Hojicha 🍑 The sweetness of the peaches pairs well with the toastiness of the hojicha. Overall, very delish and I can see why they were crowded even on a weekday. Highly recommend a visit if you haven’t already! 💛

Peaches and cream matcha was delightful! I ended up at Trung Nguyen E-Coffee because I was running out of stand-up comedy material and, in a moment of desperation, decided to join my college’s mock trial team for content. I immediately began doubting that decision when I realized mock trial involves a lot of reading....and I hate reading. Then I found out I’d have to drive from SLO to L.A. for a travel tournament, and like I get carsick from a five minute drive. But then our team stopped at Trung Nguyen E-Coffee for some pre-trial sustenance… and suddenly everything felt worth it. All those late nights, that 200-page case file, learning the law solely for the bit. Would recommend this place. Maybe not mock trial, though.

I really wanted to like this place. The reviews and menu looked great, but I made the mistake of ordering without specifying the ice. The drink came out about 3/4 full of ice, so I got maybe three sips of actual coffee. I honestly couldn’t even tell if I liked it. For the price, that feels ridiculous and honestly insulting. Be very specific when you order here, especially about ice, or you may end up paying mostly for frozen water.

I really love this place but I was so disappointed after today. I ordered two teas, one regular and one with no ice. This is how much liquid they gave me…I understand that no ice does not equal more liquid but this is ridiculous. And to make matters worse they gave me the second drink FULL of ice, literally top to bottom. If this is how much liquid they’re giving and charging full price, then it’s not worth it

Trung Nguyen coffee selections are the best. At first I was hesitant to try their coffee but glade I did. My first choice was the caramel which was refreshing and tasty. I also had the hazelnut which was surprisingly good as well. The cost of $7.50 is well worth it in my opinion. You still can taste the cultural Vietnamese strong coffee which I love. This location has a steady flow of patrons. Clearness was a huge positive factor. The staff were friendly different from other Bolsa coffee establishment experiences. Well worth the price.
