Trung Nguyên Legend Coffee World Philly is a coffee shop in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at 113-117 Washington Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19147. Located in South Philadelphia, it offers a distinctive place to explore Vietnamese coffee and other specialty drinks. The setting is described by visitors as spacious, stylish, and modern, with an elevated feel compared with a typical neighborhood café. It is a good fit for anyone who wants to sit down, take a break, and enjoy a drink in a thoughtfully designed space rather than simply pick up a standard cup of coffee.

Among the drinks customers mention most, egg yolk coffee and black sesame coffee stand out. Reviewers describe them as rich, smooth, and memorable, making them appealing choices for guests curious about flavors beyond familiar espresso drinks. Ottoman coffee is also on the menu according to customer feedback, though one visitor preferred the egg yolk and black sesame options. Lychee matcha offers another choice for those looking for something beyond coffee; some guests find the drinks on the sweet side, so consider that when choosing. The range of distinctive flavors makes the shop worth considering for a coffee outing with friends or a solo visit to try something new.

The shop also serves food: a visitor specifically praised the dry noodles and recommended the food. This gives guests an option to make a stop more substantial than a coffee break, though the available information does not describe the full food menu. Reviews also point to attentive service, with one guest noting that staff checked in often and explained things thoroughly. Experiences can vary, as they do at any café, but these details may help visitors know what to expect when planning a visit.

Value is worth considering before you go. Some reviewers feel the drinks are more expensive than those at a traditional coffee shop, and one reported a price of $7.95 before tax. Others say the quality and the chance to find distinctive Vietnamese coffee make the visit worthwhile. The overall customer rating is 3.6 from 277 reviews, reflecting a range of opinions rather than a uniformly positive response. If you prefer less-sweet drinks or are comparing prices, checking the menu and asking staff about sweetness may help you find the right order.

Trung Nguyên Legend Coffee World Philly is open daily, Monday through Sunday, from 7:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Its Washington Avenue location makes it a convenient option for South Philadelphia visitors seeking specialty coffee, a spacious café atmosphere, or a light meal with their drink. Whether you are drawn by egg yolk coffee, black sesame coffee, lychee matcha, or dry noodles, this Philadelphia coffee shop offers a chance to try flavors that stand apart from a standard café menu.

A solid and very aesthetic chic coffee spot in South Philly with some unique drinks. The egg yolk coffee and black sesame coffee were definitely the stars — rich, smooth, and memorable. Tried the Ottoman coffee too, but it fell a little flat in comparison. Overall, a great place if you’re in the mood for something beyond the usual latte. They also have small bites and pastries and a dine in area upstairs.

Trung Nguyen Coffee is easily one of the most unique coffee spots in Philadelphia. The vibe alone makes it worth the visit, it’s stylish, modern, and has a distinctly elevated feel compared to your typical neighborhood café. It’s the kind of place where you actually want to sit, slow down, and enjoy the experience. The coffee itself is solid. Rich, smooth, and well-crafted, exactly what you’d expect from a Vietnamese coffee brand with such a strong reputation. Whether you’re going for something traditional or more specialty, it delivers. That said, there are a couple quirks. The location feels a bit odd and slightly out of place, which might make it less of a casual “drop-in” spot depending on where you’re coming from. The biggest downside for me was the restriction on kids not being allowed on the second floor. I wasn’t really able to experience that space fully (aside from briefly going up to use the restroom), which was disappointing since it seems like a big part of the overall ambiance. Overall, it’s still a great coffee experience and absolutely worth checking out, especially if you appreciate atmosphere as much as the drink itself. Just be aware of a few limitations depending on your situation.

I love this place so much. Yes, it is expensive - drinks are $7.95 before tax. But you can’t find Vietnamese coffee this good anywhere else. …
