Sign in to reviewI attended the grand opening ceremony of this temple in 2019 and hadn't come back until today. The temple is really beautiful now with a lot of investments. Highly recommend.
Its a beautiful temple with lovely garden. My mom has been going there every weekend. The monks and the nuns were friendly. The only issue i had was one of the middle aged lady who's in charge the school for the young children. In May 11, 2025, the event was for the Mothers Day. It was crowded during lunch and i was struggling carrying two big hot bowls and there wae no table to sit. So I decided to sit at the school area. The male leader was nice to invite me and my cousins to sit at the table. Out of nowhere, a lady told me that I cant sit there because it was for the school. I insisted to sit down. I found her behavior rude and disrespectful of her to tell the followers. My mom also told me that the lady yelled at the students in the worshipping room. Thats disturbing the peace. Another incident on Sept 8, 2025, my uncle and aunt were visiting the temple. We were looking at the garden until the same lady scream at us saying we cant go to the back garden. We were shocked at her attitude. The garden is public for all followers to look around. There is no forbidden to enter any area. My mom already reported it to one of the nun. Yelling should not happen at the peaceful temple.
I attended Le Khanh Via Quan The Am this morning 7/13/25. The temple is spacious, clean, and well maintained in and out. The nuns are quite friendly who often smile and look at you with beautiful twinkled eyes. The one and half hour praying session is well organized. The Buddhist chant is in simple easy Vietnamese language for me, who is not a devoted Buddhist, to understand and follow from start to end. The temple's eating area is located outside on the left wing of the temple as I enter the parking lot. It serves healthy delicious vegetarian food, desserts and drinks, that are prepared and cooked by nuns, lay persons or volunteers. Today everyone was treated free lunch: pho and com chay. One can buy yummy flavorful displayed food for reasonable prices as a way to financially support the temple. I really had a very impressive experience at Tu Vien Dai Bi. This is now my refuge when I seek for tranquility, peace, wisdom and strength to move on righteously, nonjudgmentally, confidently and compassionately through this very challenging but meaningful life.
