Because this plaza is home to the legendary Crawfish & Noodles — and every single season, this is where I return. Over the years, the plaza has gradually upgraded its vibe. They’ve added sculptures, decorative elements, and little iconic touches that make it feel more lively and recognizable. It’s not just a strip mall anymore — it has personality. But let’s be honest. We’re here for the crawfish. And not just any crawfish. I’ve compared. Trust me. During peak season, I’ve tried multiple well-known crawfish spots around town. And every single time, Crawfish & Noodles wins on size. The crawfish are: • Consistently BIG • Impressively clean • Full of flavor • And always satisfying in that “mouthful” way you want during the season I actually asked the waiter once: “How are your crawfish always bigger than everyone else’s? This is unbelievable.” Their answer? They hand-pick every batch. The smaller crawfish don’t even make it to the main boil — those get used for fried rice or other dishes. The big, beautiful ones? Those are reserved for the people who show up specifically for crawfish season. That level of selection matters. Because size is one thing — but clean, properly sourced, well-selected crawfish? I went to the food court for the first time in ten years. I enjoyed the food immensely. All the restaurants are open weekdays during the day before about 4pm. I don't know what it's like on weekends in the evening.
10/25/2025: Entering and exiting the shopping center isn’t the easiest on the weekends/busy times. When it rains, the parking lot doesn’t drain well and there is a lot of standing water everywhere.
Good place for Vietnamese stuff and foods. Not particularly clean.
I come to Universal Shopping Center often to get sweets. Parking is a giant hassle on weekends.
