Ellie is fantastic and does BEAUTIFUL work ! I have a short shag/bob cut done with razor and shears. It’s wild AND precision. I still get compliments after months and months of growth! That, to me, is the true mark of an excellent stylist - Ellie creates “the look” but is also super deft with the nature of my hair, additionally covering for cow licks and sometimes, my own extra attempts at trims 😁 I can be socially awkward, talkative or silent at times, and Ellie always respects both and makes me feel comfy. As older lgbt+, the cut gives super current/hip and still classic - while also accommodating my asks for specific details. Ellie listens superbly, and has this MAGICAL way of intuiting what I’m trying to communicate. Truly a class act and artist. Thanks Ellie !!! You are a constellation!! Ten thousand stars :)

I feel like it’s so hard to find a stylist these days, so discovering Vain felt like such a relief. All their stylists seem great, but I know my experience with Tamiya was amazing! Even though they’re early in their career, you can tell they really care about making you look and feel fabulous ✨ I brought in my reference photos and we discussed together what I wanted vs what would work best with my hair, and decided on a plan that worked best. I’ve been so happy with my results🥰

My son and I made appointments two days in advance for the brief visit in Seattle. It was one of the main things we wanted to do, go to a cool salon and get some haircuts and go thrift shopping on Capitol Hill. A mirror two hours before the appointment the hairstylist text me and says she is just an apprentice and cannot do a 10 year-old boys haircut. And then I sent her a picture of me and said we could trade hairstylist and I have long shoulder liked hair and she said she could see what she could do for a trim for $100. I’m not spending $100 for a gamble on somebody with no experience. The timing was horrible now I’m scrambling to find a place for us to go very inconsiderate.

Skyler saved me from a BAD haircut I received at a totally different salon. They were so accommodating and I got an appointment super quickly, they were reassuring, and HONEST! Skyler explained exactly what was wrong with the other haircut …

Tristan absolutely changed my life with the layering they did with my hair. I’ve got a bit of a nervous disposition (lol) and am very protective of my thigh-length hair, but Tristan made me feel so at ease and so confident in their abilities, and damn right they should be! Because WOW my hair has never looked better. I keep saying I feel like I have actual hair and not just stuff on my head, lol. Can not recommend Tristan enough. Thank you thank you!!
