Client reviews point to a legal approach centered on staying engaged through challenging cases. One client reports being talked through each step and reaching a successful closure, while others highlight ongoing support, timely service, and transparent answers to questions. Reviews also reference litigation, an employment-related case, and a demanding matter involving a large corporation. Those accounts suggest that clients may appreciate a lawyer who remains steady when the facts, stakes, or opposing party feel intimidating. Every legal matter is different, however, so prospective clients should discuss their specific circumstances directly with the office rather than relying on another client's outcome. The comments focus on client experience, not a complete list of the office's practice areas.
For someone comparing attorneys in Hayward, the qualities mentioned most consistently in the available feedback are accessibility, knowledge, and a personal commitment to client communication. Reviewers describe attorney Tiega as knowledgeable, open-minded, and attentive, and praise the broader legal team for working on their behalf during difficult situations. That combination can matter when a client needs updates, has questions about the next procedural step, or simply wants a clearer view of what to expect. It is especially relevant for clients who want to stay involved rather than wonder where their case stands. Rather than making broad promises, Varlack Legal Services is presented in these reviews as a practice where clients felt heard, informed, and supported. Past client experiences do not predict or guarantee a result in any future case.
The office is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and is closed Saturday and Sunday, making it a practical Hayward, CA option for people who prefer to make legal inquiries during standard weekday business hours. Varlack Legal Services may be worth considering for individuals seeking an attorney whose reviewed service emphasizes professional guidance and consistent contact throughout a case. Before arranging representation, ask about the services relevant to your matter, the anticipated process, availability, and any fee structure. A direct conversation can help determine whether this Hayward attorney office is the appropriate fit for your particular legal needs. The listed address, weekday schedule, and review history make it easier to begin that evaluation locally.

Sign in to reviewI had a wonderful experience working with Varlack legal services throughout my situation; they were informative, responsive, and talked me through each step along the way. Review: Second Thinking Litigation (Contingency Representation & Fee Structure) Second Thinking Litigation operates on a contingency-based model, which can be appealing at first glance—especially if you’re dealing with financial stress or a complex employment case. However, it’s important to understand how that structure actually plays out in practice. The firm typically starts at a 33% contingency fee, but that percentage can increase to around 40% once the case progresses—for example, after a formal response to the lawsuit is filed. That shift is something clients should be aware of upfront, because it significantly affects your net recovery if the case resolves in your favor. From a case-handling perspective, outcomes depend heavily on the strength of your evidence and how well your file is built early on. The paralegal’s role is critical—they are often responsible for organizing documentation, timelines, and key facts. If that groundwork isn’t solid, it can directly impact how seriously your case is treated. At the same time, it’s worth noting that staff members, including paralegals, may not always have full visibility into the strategy or status of your case. Frustration is understandable, but much of the communication gap stems from internal structure rather than individual negligence. The attorney appears to be juggling multiple cases, including trial work, which can lead to limited direct communication—especially if your case hasn’t reached a high-value or litigation-heavy stage. This can make the process feel slow or unclear. In reality, many employment cases only receive significant attention once they reach a point where liability and damages are more concrete. Another key consideration is cost. Even under a contingency agreement, you may still be responsible for out-of-pocket expenses. These can include: - Any unpaid portion of the retainer (if applicable) - Filing fees - Deposition costs - Expert witness fees These expenses are often advanced or billed separately and may ultimately come out of your recovery—or directly from you, depending on the agreement. In terms of expectations, it’s important to stay realistic. Unless your case involves clear wrongful termination or strong, well-documented violations, recovery may be limited. Employers and their legal teams will often challenge credibility and attempt to minimize liability, which can reduce settlement value or prolong the process. Overall, Second Thinking Litigation may be a viable option if you’re prepared—financially and mentally—to invest in your case. But it’s critical to go in with clarity: understand the fee escalation, be ready for additional costs, and know exactly what outcome you’re aiming for. Don’t let early settlement pressure or uncertainty push you into accepting less than what your case may be worth, especially in today’s economic climate.
this was a very intense experience. Championship ball being played. We were the big underdogs. At times, I did not know what to expect, but at the end of the day, she stood toe to toe with a corporation worth billions and we came out on top. Knowing the ins and outs of how corporations play and drag things along. It was definitely not a swift experience however she went face-to-face. Battle/war against a corporation, who has the money to turn our lights out, while EVERYONE ELSE SEEM scared to take the case because of this Varlack stepped in and got this done. I am forever grateful and enjoying my 6 figure payout. Life was good. Now it’s great. Thank you to the entire Varlack team for dealing with me as well. I know I can be a headache. But stayed professional at all times. Thank you all again..
