Dr. Dang’s office has been a steady part of our family’s dental routine. My sibling and i have had regular cleanings here, and we’ve come in for consults and checkups. The atmosphere is calm and professional, and the staff is friendly and respectful. The care is solid—efficient cleanings, clear explanations, and a clean, well-lit space. While the office doesn’t do big promos like some others, Berryessa Oral Surgery has occasionally shared seasonal treats here, adding a nice touch to the experience. It’s a dependable spot for long-term care, especially if you value consistency and a low-stress environment.

A close friend of mine recommended Dr. Dang to me over 15 years ago and I have been his patient since then. Before Dr. Dang I went to a few dentists here and there when I needed work done but never really trusted anyone until I meet him and his staffs. I have done basically everything there from braces, fillings, root canals, cleanings and extractions all under his care. He’s honest, informative, and professional. Each and every dental procedure he explained to you the pro and con of it and also what to expect. He will give you recommendation and let you decide on what to do. I would recommend him to everyone that needs a dentist. I’ve recommended him to all my family members and friends and now they all are going there. Again He’s honest, informative, and professional.

5-Star Dental Services and Highly Recommended --- I have used Dr. Viet Dang's dental services for the last five years after being recommended by a good friend. Dr. Dang is professional, kind, caring and pleasant. I would say the same about his staff including other dentists, dental hygienists, assistants and the front desk lady. Dr. Dang's two other dentists (Huong and Xuan) are very capable, throughly and courteous. After using several dentists over the years, I thought Dr. Dang's dental charges are fair and consistent. I remember on a couple occasions the office manager had agreed to either reduce or waive some of the charges which were not paid by my mediocre insurance company. I thought that was very kind of her. Overall I was very satisfied with the work provided by Dr. Dang's office, and I would highly recommend Dr. Viet Dang's dental services to anyone who's looking for a well qualified dentist in the San Jose or Salinas area.

Watch out & read before coming to this office: San Jose, 09-23-2020 I had a loose tooth implant from my previous dentist at Mai Dental specialist in San Jose. I decided to come to VIET DANG’s office to re-tighten the loose tooth. At first, they charged me $175.00 out of pocket to take an X-ray of the tooth and re-tighten the screw. They also told me they will bill to my dental insurance, Guardian Dental insurance. When they get the insurance payment, they will refund the $175 I paid. Later, I found out the insurance paid them $466.00 and that takes the rest of my $1500 dental benefit for the year of 2020. (I used some benefit money at different place for cleaning, filling…) Another cheating is: I came there only one time for that job (about 30 minutes) and they charged my insurance for two different days. I called them and asked why they charged too much money for that job, and they told me that the way it is. Therefore, I have to bring up and raise awareness of this office billing practices, otherwise they will continue to overcharge other patients. My action now is: First, I will call my insurance and report that. Then I like to leave a comment for people to be aware of this office.

Dr. Dang has been my dentist for the past decade. He’s kind and professional. His staff is super friendly. I recommend this office to anyone seeking quality dental care!
