Sign in to reviewI am incredibly grateful to be part of the Village Home Health & Hospice family. Working as a Hospice Community Liaison has given me the privilege of helping patients and their families navigate some of life’s most important and challenging moments with compassion, dignity, and support. What makes Village Home Health & Hospice truly special is the dedication of our entire team. Every day, I witness nurses, therapists, aides, social workers, chaplains, and staff go above and beyond to provide exceptional care and comfort to those we serve. The commitment, teamwork, and genuine compassion shown by everyone in this organization make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their loved ones. I am proud to work alongside such caring professionals who treat every patient like family. Thank you, Village Home Health & Hospice, for allowing me to be part of a mission that brings hope, comfort, and quality care to our community. It is an honor to serve our patients and support their families during their healthcare journey.
Village Home Health and Hospice provided exceptional care for my uncle during the last chapter of his life. They first cared for him through home health services while he was in assisted living, and their communication with me as next of kin was outstanding from the very beginning. They consistently kept me informed about his condition, needs, and any changes in his care, which brought tremendous peace of mind during a very difficult time. What truly stood out was how attentive and comprehensive their care was. They focused on the whole person and stepped in to provide support wherever it was needed, whether medical, emotional, or personal care. When my uncle’s condition declined and we transitioned into hospice care, their team became an even greater source of strength and support than I ever could have imagined. I did not know what to expect from hospice care, but Village Hospice exceeded every expectation. They closely monitored my uncle, ensured he remained comfortable and free from pain, and continued to keep me updated every step of the way. Their chaplain was incredibly compassionate and brought comfort not only to my uncle but to our family as well. The social worker was equally amazing, helping me navigate difficult decisions and develop plans as my uncle’s condition declined. Every member of their team was caring, professional, attentive, and deeply compassionate. When my uncle passed, the hospice nurse arrived promptly to help with all final preparations. She had checked on him just hours earlier, making sure he was comfortable and not in distress. Although she had gently prepared me that he was showing signs of decline, she reassured me she would do everything possible to keep him peaceful and pain-free — and she absolutely did. I cannot thank Village Home Health and Hospice enough for the dignity, compassion, professionalism, and support they provided to my uncle and our family during such a difficult time. I highly recommend them to anyone needing home health or hospice care for a loved one.
I see firsthand the incredible dedication of the Village team, and I wanted to share how much their compassion means to the families they serve. Our nurses are truly conscientious and consistently go the extra mile to provide thoughtful, attentive care. Karina, Danny, Celeste and Theresa have excellent skills and compassionate hearts and it really shows in how they work tirelessly to make patients more comfortable. The executive director Karin, is exceptionally organized and proactive, addressing any concerns with thoroughness and professionalism. Our social worker, Irma makes frequent visits to ensure everything runs smoothly, taking real care to ease the burden on families during such difficult times. Ben, the spiritual chaplain’s approach in bringing a genuine, loving presence to every interaction, always ready to read Scripture, listen to fears, or simply sit with families through their grief. There’s a real sense of respect and patience in everything they do. What makes Village special is that everyone genuinely works together. The whole team is positive and supportive of one another, all focused on creating the most peaceful, dignified experience possible for patients and families. I’m grateful for their care and compassion.
I have long admired those who are called to work in hospice care. My husband was recently under hospice care with Village Home Health and Hospice for almost a year. Our experience with hospice and in particular his Village Hospice team was nothing short of a Godsend. His team was always professional and compassionate, providing much needed love and support for both my husband and to me. Each one who helped with his care came with a positive attitude and an unending supply of patience, letting us know that they were available for assistance whenever assistance was needed. I deeply appreciate every aspect of care, from expert counsel to offering a hug and a shoulder to cry on. I am forever grateful that my brother-in-law was familiar with Village Hospice and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who would benefit from their expertise and exemplary care at a time when such support means everything to both patient and family.
