Visiting Nurse Association of Boston is a home health care service located at 150 Mt Vernon St in Dorchester, Massachusetts. For people and families looking into in-home nursing support in the Dorchester area, the organization may be one option to consider. The available information does not list operating hours, so contact the association directly to confirm availability, scheduling, and whether its services fit your situation. As with any care provider, discussing needs and expectations in advance can help families understand what support may be available and how visits are arranged.

Customer comments describe experiences with visiting clinicians and nurses, including care connected with wound visits and recovery after surgery. One reviewer praised the nurses and said their support helped with recovery following surgery. These accounts suggest that nursing visits may be an important part of the experience for patients who need care at home, but they are individual reports rather than a complete description of the services offered. Families should ask the organization which types of nursing care it currently provides, whether a particular service is available, and what information is needed before care can begin.

Reviews also point to concerns about scheduling and communication. Some reviewers described difficulty getting clear answers about when an RN or LPN would arrive, visits that they believed had been scheduled but did not take place, and problems communicating with a clinician. Other feedback was positive about the nurses themselves. The overall listing rating is 2.5 out of 5 from 6 reviews, reflecting a small set of mixed customer experiences. These comments are worth considering, especially for families coordinating care for a loved one, while recognizing that individual situations and experiences can differ.

Before choosing Visiting Nurse Association of Boston in Dorchester, ask how appointments are confirmed, what to do if a visit is delayed or missed, and whom to contact with questions about a care plan. It may also help to confirm the expected visit window, the clinician’s role, and how updates will be shared with the patient or family. Clear answers can make it easier to decide whether the service meets your needs. This profile is based on the business details and customer feedback provided; it does not verify current hours, specific programs, insurance coverage, or availability.

The visiting clinicians are great , 5 star !! The administrative staff is abysmal. Good luck getting a straight answer about when an RN/LPN is actually coming to visit. And good luck not having to wait all day and be told the visit wasn't even booked. And now again today, supposedly booked for wound care visit and I'm getting tossed from one dept to another to VM. No seems to know, or care, what they're doing.

I would not recommend Boston VNA to anyone that cares about their loved one. They are not reliable and do not care if family member is seen or not.
