Sign in to reviewAvery is literally the BEST! Have had so much trouble finding someone for a bleach and tone and she truly nailed it. Came in with overgrown roots and walked out with the most perfect hair ever. My hair has never looked this good before and it’s in such good condition! She’s super proactive during the processing (and quick) also so fun and sweet. Will forever go back to her! (She also does the most amazing cuts and styling)
Miranda is a goddess when it comes to vivids, cuts, styles and bringing visions to life with only one photo !!! I’ve never felt more beautiful leaving anyone’s chair before in my entire life ! She’s also the sweetest most personable beautiful person I’ve ever encountered . Conversation was flowing and she made every moment special . I will NEVER go to anyone else ever again and I drove an hour away to give her a chance and I’m soooo grateful I did ! Also, her prices were less than a third of what every other stylist in Dallas tried quoting me ! She has a bright future in this industry ! Keeper
[Photos: 4 of my warm/deep brown hair before, and 4 from after the service-- these were taken directly after leaving the salon. What I asked for is below. You can also see some of Abi's work on my sister in the photo with the baby, which looks great.... my results do not] Sad to be writing this review. I booked with Abi after my sister had great results with her highlights—a bright, neutral blonde that's hard to achieve. Tone is crucial in hair color, so I was excited to try her services. I booked a 1/2 head balayage with a cut. I wanted brighter dimensionality around the ends, money pieces, and a layered, face-framing cut. I couldn't find exact reference photos (Pinterest is all AI now), so I brought several images to convey different aspects—especially smooth color blending, as I hate anything "stripe-y." I emphasized that I'd been growing out my base for years: a warm, rich brown with red undertones that I loved and wanted unchanged. I also asked if she could use high-lift color instead of bleach, and said if what I wanted wasn't realistic, I was happy with just a cut. She said it seemed doable, and that if I didn't like the brightness, it would be easy to cover. We got started. When I looked up mid-service, the foils went much higher than anticipated.Foils aren't usually part of balayage, but that alone didn't worry me too much... I reiterated that I really didn't want my base changed at all. Abi said they were "tease-y lights" that would blend easily... I knew I didn't like the color immediately. It looked liked bleach had been used. .The money pieces weren't distinct... they were strange little stripes placed a fraction of an inch behind the front. There were random bright lines in my brown, the tone was almost orange-green, and the warm richness of my base was gone. The ends were not brighter than the rest of the hair. So Instead of brighter ends and front, I was left scattered bleach flecks throughout, destroying the depth of the red-brown I'd spent years growing out... I was devastated. The cut was basically a fine trim, but not the face framing, layered/ textured look I'd asked for at all. I was told if I wanted a revision I just had to let her know within the week, and I asked immediately before I even left the salon. I was leaving the state a few days later for Thanksgiving, and I booked her only weekend morning slot... she asked if we could reschedule for after I got back, because she wanted to take her time with me, and I agreed. I did family photos in California with hair that makes me sad. I'm a type 1 diabetic in late-stage kidney failure with complications, and I ended up with an infected wound that extended my travel. I've been in and out of the hospital, and was out of state for weeks, not returning until January. I followed up mid-January to schedule the revision. Abi said it had been too long and I'd need to pay for services: a tone that she said would help cover the stripey-ness, and ablowout ($128), with free money piece correction. But the tone was wrong originally, and the bleach looked stripey from the start, and tones only last about a month (2-5 weeks according to Google)... so that would not be a permanent fix/ bring back my base, and wouldn't give me the brighter ends I came in for... when I asked about this, she didn't respond. I've already paid around $400 for hair that wasn't what I asked for, with bleach throughout ruining my base tone. The only recourse I'm currently offered is a temporary tone I'd pay for monthly just to cover stripes, that wouldn't add the brightness or cut I wanted or bring back my natural base. Two stars because the salon is nice and Abi was nice while I was getting my service, but the results ruined something I loved about my hair and didn't deliver close to what I'd asked for. If there is a policy that revisions can't be done after a certain period of time even when I'd asked for one immediately, I wish that would have been communicated. I've spent the past 8 weeks sad every time I see my hair in the mirror.
