Sign in to reviewThis is the best location of all the VKB’s in the Bay Area. They have a large selection of different dried meats, seafood, fruits, and imported goods. Every time I come here, the lady is always really sweet and offers me samples of anything I want to try. She also always offers me a free bag of xi muoi (dried plums) since I always make large purchases as gifts for family & friends. It’s definitely on the pricey side but totally worth it!
The place had a large selection and the items tasted good. However we will NOT be returning because of moldy food and a bad attitude. Even upon entering, she was already very sour. We did buy things and samples were available, but more than half of it had mold. Very disappointed.
I purchased pork floss less than one week ago, and I was given a pre-packaged selection. I was in a rush to go to the airport because I’m out of state, but as you can see (toward the bottom of the picture) it is already growing mold.
Very friendly staff, offers to let you try before you purchase. Good jerky, dry plums.
SCAM PLACE - DO NOT BUY HERE. They sold me $150 worth of moldy beef jerky with a terrible oil smell, completely ruining my nephew's birthday. This place has a notoriously bad reputation, and I carefully tasted every package before buying, but it looks like they swapped it when I wasn’t looking.
