Sign in to reviewYikes. Just yikes all around. Full disclosure: I haven't been to a dentist in well over a decade due to factors out of my control. Well, I decide to go because my wisdom teeth are impacted and partially erupted, causing a constant, intense dull pain. I went in and they not only didn't address the pain at all, but they didn't explain any of the charges or procedures to me, and then sold me a gum treatment for $1,000 that I did not consent to. Didn't even address the actual issue I came in for. I'm still in the exact same amount of pain I was in before, possibly even more now because of how careless they were in my mouth. I cannot eat solid foods at all right now. They were also unbelievably rude and dismissive of my symptoms. I will be contacting corporate to get my money back. Please do so much better, especially with patients who are on the spectrum. This experience did not have to go this way.
One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. Over 4+ hours wasted. When I first called to make an appointment, I was surprised that they had an appointment the same day. Although they had some trouble verifying my insurance, they said they’d call back to schedule. They never did. When I finally called THEM back, I was able to get an appointment for 5:30pm. Great. However, then I got a call back from the office that the time was no longer available and asked if I could come at 3:30 or 4pm instead (before their last available appointment at 5pm). I arrived at 4:15pm, and waited over 1+ hour before being told I would not be able to be seen, as they were running behind. I was upset and mentioned it would’ve been nice to know that ahead of time, but made a second appointment. For my follow-up appointment, they told me to come first thing in the morning (at 9am) before they fell behind. So I arrived at 9am. Waited 15 minutes before being taken back to do x-rays. Then waited 15 more minutes, was asked to switch rooms. Then waited another 15 minutes, and then the x-rays themselves took another 30 minutes. I was then taken to do my examination, where I waited another 15 minutes. After another 20 minutes to complete my exam, it had been over 1.5+ hours after I arrived. I was then asked if I had another 1+ hour to complete the cleaning and required fillings identified in my exam. At this point, I just wanted to be done, so I stayed. I was then transferred to another room, and waited another 30 minutes before they started my cleaning and fillings, which was one of the most uncomfortable dental experiences I’ve ever had — poking, prodding, choking. And I’ve been to many different dentists. It took another 45 minutes before they were done, for a total of almost 3.5 hours spent at this appointment. When I finally made it out, I asked if that was the normal appointment time. They said yes, and again, I mentioned it would’ve been nice to know ahead of time. Long story short… avoid going here if you can. If you can’t, prep for an extremely long wait and appointment time, and try to get there as early in the day as possible.
This was my initial appointment at Western. Anielka (Annie) managed the x rays and later, after the cleaning, the polishing. She is a very competent technician and lovely person. Dr Hassan performed the cleaning with high skill and care, assisted by Christian. All five star. Dr Tran did the exam, measured the gingival margins, checked for cavities. He recommended a thousand dollar gum treatment, which I declined. He had just confirmed, by measuring the slight gum recession, that my gums were fine, and that a routine cleaning was what I needed. He also listed all kinds of findings on his diagnosis form, with no explanation or clarification at all to me. I questioned these notations but got no response. One star.
This entire staff is phenomenal! Everything went fast and super smooth! Dr. Tran, Dr. Hassan and every assistant was superb. The Dr's here teach and treat their staff with kindness. GREAT job with my services! At 60 yrs old this was a first time to find great staff and doctors
This is the worst dentist I have ever visited. I arrived on time for my appointment and waited almost two hours for a three minute appointment with a rude, dismissive man whom I later saw lounging at a desk, scrolling on his phone. Nobody bothered to clean my teeth; the doctor just glanced at the x-rays to see what procedures he could sell me and then moved on without providing a single tangible medical service. These people are charlatans. Save yourself the headache and go literally anywhere else.
