I had the best experience at Wild Honey! I felt like Michaelann really listened to what I wanted. She took the time to understand my concerns from my previous haircuts and followed exactly what I asked for. My hair feels healthier, has so much better movement, and the layers blend beautifully without looking too choppy. I left feeling confident and happy with the result. I had a Saturday appointment scheduled for 9:00 AM for a haircut, color, and blowout. Per the salon’s cancellation policy, I would have been charged $100 if I canceled the morning of my appointment. Instead, I received a phone call at approximately 8:35 AM, while I was already in my car and on my way to the salon, informing me that my appointment had to be canceled due to a family emergency involving the stylist. I completely understand that emergencies happen and I am not upset about the emergency itself. What I am disappointed by is how the situation was handled. I had already woken up early on my day off, gotten ready, and was actively driving to the salon when I received the call. When I asked whether there was another stylist available that day, I was simply told no and offered a Monday appointment, despite explaining that I work full-time and could not make that work. There was no meaningful attempt to accommodate me, place me on a cancellation list, prioritize a future appointment, or otherwise address the inconvenience. The situation felt especially frustrating given the salon’s strict cancellation policy. Had I canceled 25 minutes before my appointment, I would have been charged a fee. Yet when the salon canceled 25 minutes before my appointment, the response was essentially just “sorry.” Again, I understand that emergencies happen. My review is not about the cancellation itself. It is about the lack of communication, empathy, and effort to make things right afterward.
