Win Htay MD is an internist serving patients in Fremont, California, from an office at 3458 Mowry Ave, Fremont, CA 94538. For people looking for an internal medicine physician in Fremont, this practice is described in patient feedback as a place where care can feel attentive, patient-centered, and grounded in careful follow-up. The available rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 29 reviews, offering a useful snapshot of experiences shared by patients and families.

Internal medicine care often involves managing ongoing concerns, reviewing medications, coordinating laboratory testing, and taking time to understand questions over multiple visits. Reviews of Dr. Win Htay repeatedly praise his courteous manner, patience, and detail-oriented approach. Several patients say he listens carefully and explains issues thoroughly rather than rushing through concerns. One reviewer describes him as a dependable personal physician through cancer and other health conditions, while another credits careful attention with helping identify both of their cancers early. These are individual patient experiences, not a guarantee of outcomes, but they illustrate why thoroughness stands out in the feedback.

Patients also mention the practical parts of care. One review notes reasonable wait times, quick handling of medication refills and laboratory appointments, and a helpful, professional team. Those details may matter to people who need consistent monitoring or frequent conversations about prescriptions and test results. The reviews do not identify office hours, so prospective patients should confirm current availability directly. Patient accounts differ, so these reports are best used as context rather than a substitute for a direct conversation with the office about individual needs.

Experiences with office communication are not uniform. Alongside positive comments about professional, helpful staff, some reviews cite difficulty reaching the practice by phone and frustration with receptionist interactions or prescription authorization timing. That contrast may matter for prospective patients who rely on phone communication or need refills promptly. Calling ahead to ask about appointment scheduling, refill procedures, laboratory coordination, and preferred communication channels can help clarify whether the office process suits your needs.

For Fremont and Bay Area residents seeking an internist, Win Htay MD may be a relevant option for routine, ongoing internal medicine care and discussions around complex health concerns. Feedback is especially favorable from people who value a physician who is kind, responsive during visits, and willing to answer questions in depth. At the same time, the mixed administrative feedback provides helpful context for setting expectations. The Mowry Avenue location places the practice in Fremont, CA, for patients comparing local internists and primary-care options. It is also useful for patients seeking continuity with one local clinician.

Dr. Win and his team are amazing! They are always responsible, patient, and take the time to answer all my questions thoroughly. The wait time is always reasonable, and they handle medication refills and lab test appointments very quickly. Both of my cancers were detected early through their careful checkups, and referrals were always made promptly. I feel very well taken care of every time I visit. Highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring family doctor!

The doctor himself kind, nice, and courteous—I have no complaints about the quality of the medical care. The critical issue lies with the main receptionist and the entire phone system. It is an exhausting process just to get through. The main receptionist is consistently rude, unprofessional, and treats calls as an unwelcome interruption. You have to call multiple times just to get a basic question answered or schedule an appointment. The stress and time wasted dealing with the administrative staff completely outweigh the doctor's competence. Save yourself the headache and find another provider whose entire team respects your time and professionalism.

Do NOT go to him. This guy is a QUACK. Literally the most irresponsible doctor I have ever gone to in my entire life (56 years of it). If you need his authorization on any prescription for which you need to get a refill, it seems to take him forever to call the pharmacy with that authorization. Even the pharmacy that I go to has continually had problems trying to reach him to get authorizations for my prescriptions. I'm not sure if he's just apathetic toward his patients or if he just doesn't read his messages and follow up on them. By the way, he also misdiagnosed a skin condition I have at the moment. He neither properly examined my skin nor did any tests of any kind to find the cause. He merely glanced at my skin and have me his diagnosis - which, as it turned out, was waaay off-base. I've now dumped him and found an infinitely better doctor - who received his degree from Stanford. "Doctor" Win apparently got his from Quacks R Us. I'm actually considering reporting him to the medical board and filing an official complaint against him. I strongly recommend staying away from this one if you want a good, dependable, GENUINE doctor.
