Five stars isn’t enough for Wise Auto Tech. Wais Saboory, the owner, is a stand-up guy, kind, honest, and truly a master when it comes to cars. Think 6th-degree black belt in automotive knowledge. His experience and attention to detail are on another level. Zain, their service writer, is also great to work with. Always friendly, welcoming, and clearly knows his way around cars, even if he’s not the one turning the wrenches. Between the two of them, you feel like your car is in the best possible hands. They’ve worked on two of my cars over the years and the service has always been exceptional. Most recently, I brought my car in because a nut had come loose on the turbo (a leftover issue from a previous owner’s install). Instead of just replacing the nut, they went above and beyond, replacing all the bolts on the turbo to ensure long-term reliability. That kind of thoroughness is rare. Wise is also a full machine shop that rebuilds engines, so they’ve got the knowledge and resources to do the job right. My car has never run better. I’m happy to pay for this kind of quality. If you’re anywhere near Berkeley, do yourself a favor and take your car to Wise Auto Tech. You’ll thank me later.

I just went to wise auto tech to have my break lights replaced. I was greeted by friendly faces and was in and out in what felt like maybe 5 minutes! I felt very comfortable and well taken care of. Will definitely be coming back for other auto needs in the future!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wise Auto Tech is solid. I spoke directly with Wise and he was straight up from the start and gave me a really good deal. I was a little skeptical at first because I checked with two other machine shops in the area and they both wanted a few hundred dollars more. Wise had the best rate by far and didn’t play games. On top of that, he took the time to help me out and gave me real advice on how to install the camshaft correctly in my engine. I’m rebuilding a 1999 Chevy Big Block Gen VI on my own, and I keep going back to his shop for advice because he actually knows his stuff and doesn’t mind helping. I’m grateful I found an honest shop with a knowledgeable technician who actually cares about the customer and isn’t trying to milk you for money. That alone says a lot. Highly recommend.

Can't thank these guys enough. Broke a timing belt on my 3rd Gen 4runner hours away from home on a Friday and chose this shop at random to have my vehicle towed to as it was one of the closest, and towing it home wasn't really an option. These guys went above and beyond to get my vehicle back on the road in a timely manner given the extent of the job. Wish I had a shop like this closer to home. Outstanding service.

Great place! Took my VW van in for what I thought was an expensive timing chain repair. Weise checked it out, drove it, and determined that it was just a noisy heat shield. Saved me a ton of money. Thank you!
