I had been telling myself I was gonna stop in and try it out. Well tonight I remembered and took the gamble. To my surprise I have been blown away with the experience. First of all the ambiance of this place is bananas its a food truck in a yard sharing space with a hookah lounge thats a house! When you walk on the lot you welcomed busy the smells of dumplings and braised pork! There's ample seating to bring the whole crew. I mean literally couches and sectionals everywhere. With a projector playing a movie against the side of the hookah lounge house. Tonight they were playing some kind of Harry Potter movie. I dont know which one because I have never took the series on but I know the little guy with glasses when I see him. The food can fast. I had a braised beef shank bowl. Man the meat was so tender and the broth made me beg for more rice to mix in! I also got a four piece of their dumplings and it was a real treat. Most places you got over cook or under cook the dumplings but these found a nirvana somewhere in the middle with one side of the dumplings being shared. And the taste...perfection til the last bite. The man and woman working the truck were very pleasant and invited me to try a spicy sauce. It was not bad at all, and I tend to shy away from the hot/spicy stuff. All and all im glad I made the stopp to Xu Xu's tonight and will be making a return trip on a wednesday where they really promote the movie night. I would advise you to take a. Chance as well...you wont be disappointed.

Super friendly, patient folks, with wonderfully original eats. You can tell that the owner really cares about their business succeeding. It shares a parking lot with a hookah bar with a really beautiful outdoor area with pillows and loungers. It's definitely worth checking out!

Hands down the best Taiwanese food in Austin! I’m so glad we discovered this place and enjoyed some delicious braised pork rice. Highly recommend to anyone who haven’t tried this classic Taiwanese dish. The soup dumpling (xiao lung bao) has thin skin and lots of soup inside. The pan fried dumplings (potsticker/guo tie) has a crispy bottom and both the pork and curry pork are yummy. (We only tried these two flavours). I’d like the curry taste to a bit stronger even. Would come back for sure!
