I had such a great experience at Young Young Hair Salon, especially with Lona! The prices were very affordable, and the treatment was 100% worth it. My hair feels incredibly soft, and the styling was done exactly how I wanted—no surprises, just perfect results. On top of that, Lona is so friendly and kind, which made the whole appointment even better. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend booking with her!

💇‍♀️ $40 Hair Glow-Up at a Hidden Vietnamese Salon in Garden Grove?! YES please! So my hair got way too long and I stumbled across a post on Instagram about a Vietnamese salon next to Arirang Supermarket. I figured if it turns out bad, I’ll just grow it out again 😂 so I walked right in without an appointment. Right away, Lona greeted me. I asked about the price first and she said women’s haircut $20, and cut + shampoo + blow-dry + styling all together only $40. I literally thought she meant $40 each. NOPE, it’s $40 total. Irvine salons are crying right now because I’ve paid $70+ before for just a trim. She led me to wash my hair, and it’s the traditional way where you lie down, they actually scrub your scalp like they mean it, not just “rinse and go.” She even pulled up a little chair so my legs could stretch out. Shampooed twice, conditioner, a little massage — all for $20?! My only mini complaint: the water pressure was a bit strong and splashed on my face, but honestly, I didn’t mind much. Then came the haircut. She asked my preferences, confirmed the length, then snip, super clean and confident! She did layers and thinning exactly how I wanted. And get this: she blow-dried my hair using two blow dryers at once. Auntie‘s got skills. She even styled my bangs and curled them a bit, then offered to take photos for me like a proud stylist auntie. The end result? My hair felt lighter, bouncier, and honestly way better than I expected for forty bucks. And when I asked about coloring, she said $25 for 1-inch root touch-up, $70 for full color. I mean, at this point I’m ready gonna come back to try the coloring. Bonus points: Men’s haircut = $10!! Came here with my sister to try out a haircut and dye, the ladies there were all very nice! I love my haircut and I did the regular treatment which was a total of $40, and I thought it was very worth it. However I wanted to do peekaboo thick highlights and showed a reference to the stylist and it didn’t come out near what I wanted.. it was not even a light balayage. The boss was very kind to bring me back and try to fix it up a little. In the end, I would definitely come back for a trim and the treatments and spas though!

This salon was a genuinely great experience from start to finish. The vibe was relaxed and welcoming right away, and Ruby especially made the whole visit feel easy and comfortable. The service struck that perfect balance of friendly and professional without ever feeling rushed or transactional. I came in for a perm, and the whole process was smooth, thoughtful, and well-explained, which made it easy to just sit back and trust the process. The results turned out amazing. I’ve been getting a ridiculous amount of compliments on my hair since, which honestly tells you everything you need to know. I’ve had perms done at quite a few places before, and what really stood out here was the attention to detail and overall value. The pricing is extremely reasonable compared to other salons, but there’s absolutely zero compromise on service or quality. It’s affordable without cutting any corners, which feels rare these days. Huge shoutout to Ruby, she’s an absolute gem (pun fully intended). She was attentive, skilled, and clearly knows what she’s doing, but also just very easy to talk to and be in the chair with. I’d highly recommend her to anyone considering a perm or honestly any service. All in all, this was a fantastic experience with great results, fair pricing, and genuinely good people. I’ll definitely be back.

Hi so I got highlights today and was pleasantly surprised! I came in with really difficult to dye hair, it was a bunch of different colors and some of it has never been dyed while other parts have been bleached 3+ times. I also used store bought dye and have gone pink at home within the last year too. Needless to say it was a hard job for the stylist, Kim I think, but she pulled through and I love the results. She lightened some of my hair to be blonde highlights and then made the remaining un-bleachable sections a nice brown. It only took 4.5 hours to bleach, dye, wash, and style (for free). The cost was $250 without tip and I think that’s really fair for the amount of hair I had and also the state my hair was in before. Another impressive thing is that I actually didn’t lose any hair! She bleached already bleached hair and barely anything fell off. Only downsides are that it was really hot and the employees did joke about my hair a bit 😅 So if you’re heat or comment sensitive, prepare. But otherwise im really happy and she did such a good job for the hair I had. Despite the language barrier she was pretty nice too! Definitely recommend 👍
