Sign in to reviewThe doughnuts are fine, the coffee is fine, but very expensive for coffee and doughnuts that are just okay. There are other doughnut places just as good that are more affordable. I have no complaints over what I had (2 dozen doughnuts and 1 gallon of coffee) except for the fact that it was $75.
I am obsessed with their whipped cream Long John bar donut. It's gloriously good! The only place, it seems, to get it is at the Yum Yum Donuts in Lemon Grove. I have been to many Yum Yum Donuts and the related Winchell's Donut Houses. They have the Long John bar donut but it ain't whipped cream filled. Sadly, I don't live close enough to Lemon Grove which is both a blessing and a curse. I would probably eat it every day, multiple times a day and the calories would add up on me. Speaking of which, I estimate it to be about 630 cals based on the non-cream filled value (380) plus 50g of a not overly heavy whipped cream (250). Whatever you do please, please, please don't buy the very last one because it just might be the day I drive way out of my way for it. Instead, get an apple fritter and coffee because they are awesomely good too!!
We didn't think anyone was inside because it looked deserted but we are glad we checked it out! Everything was fresh and delicious! Many items to choose from and he was able to explain each one. My children loved all of them!
Delicious, better than I remember. Haven’t been to Yum Yum in a while because the recipe seemed to be lacking flavor and fluffiness- not anymore!! Don’t know when it changed but these donuts are light and fluffy and simply delicious with every bite. A little pricey compared to the days of a dozen donut holes for a dollar but I guess I’m aging myself with that one. The clerk was super friendly and engaged pleasantly. I’ll definitely be returning for my periodic donut fix.
Delicious fresh donuts. We ordered for delivery for Fourth of July weekend and loved it. Order arrived on time and neatly packaged. No long wait time at all considering holiday weekend. 🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩
