The service at 168 was great, friendly, and the taste of the jerkies are really good too!! COMEEEEE!! It’s amazing !
I have purchased pork floss from this place many times, even though the shipping fee is quite high, because I trusted the quality. However, this time was extremely disappointing. The pork floss tasted like it was burnt, and the seasoning was not good at all. I ordered fish sauce pork floss, which is supposed to be salty and flavorful, but instead it was almost bland, with barely any seasoning. The seller explained that they reduced the saltiness because some customers said it was “too salty.” But if I wanted a mild flavor, I would have ordered soy sauce pork floss, not fish sauce pork floss. I also contacted customer service, but nothing was resolved. The only response I received was: “We have the old version available, would you like to buy it?” I had just received seven bags, haven’t even finished them yet, and being asked to buy more instead of resolving the issue was honestly very unreasonable. I am not asking for a refund, but I expected a more professional explanation or a better way to handle customer complaints. This experience was very disappointing.
We normally go to Vua Kho Bo but decided to try 168 and I have to say it was a pleasant experience. Price, quality, selection is comparable but the service was different because 168 wasn’t pushy. They didn’t shadow and micro manage your every move and then try to up sell every ounce and pound. It could be due to who we had at the time but that was more than enough to convince us to come back. Either way, it just depends on the convenience and where you’re at because both places offer the same thing. We always get the crispy jerky and this product is always pre packaged by one pound bags. At 168, they also offer in half pound which I like. It’s super easy to spend more than you like. An average pound is $18 and the jerky is $36 a pound. We walked out with 4 different types for a total of $80+. What also sets 168 apart from the others is that they ship out of state.
This beef jerky/ Vietnamese snack shop needs some love. Located right off the main street this place has everything. All the freshest beef jerky's and a nice variety of snacks as well. They run promotions all time and they also ship across the US. I specifically come here when I'm in the area because the service is great and the quality in everything. They feature locally sourced meats and snacks from Turkey and Hawaii as well.
I ordered beef jerky here and had them shipped out to Florida on several occasions. The beef jerky is very tasty and just right . The dried squid is not bad either. The items were carefully packed , and took 3-5 days to arrive. Very happy and will continue to buy online.
