This is one of Chinese the franchise grocery markets all over USA. Very cost effective market for the major grocery items like topu, eggs, orienral sauces, fishes and vegetables. One stop by for all grocery needed. We go to here at least once a week.
I usually find Ranch Market to be a pretty good place for fresh fruits and groceries, but I feel disappointed after two recent experiences that raised concerns about food quality and hygiene. About three weeks ago, my friend purchased green mustard leaves. During checkout, she noticed a live insect inside the greens. What made the situation more concerning was that the cashier simply killed the insect with his fingers and said, 'here you go, it’s good now,' and proceeded with the sale. ""DISGUSTING""" Today, I had another unfortunate experience. I bought a pack of noodles that initially looked fine from the outside. However, when I opened it at home, I found mold deep inside the packaging. There was also no visible expiry date that I could clearly identify. This raised serious concerns about how properly the products are being checked and stored before being sold. These two incidents within a short time have made me question the consistency of food safety and quality control. Grocery stores should ensure that fresh produce is properly inspected and that packaged goods are safe, sealed, and clearly labeled before being placed on shelves.I strongly recommend more careful quality checks, better hygiene practices, for the frozen or packaged food items. Customers trust stores like this for safe and healthy food, and I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves overall food inspection and handling standards going forward.
I regularly shop at this store, but the seafood live counter consistently needs improvement. Every visit, there is a long wait at the seafood counter, often around 30 minutes, due to heavy crowds and limited staff. In addition, most of the employees at the counter do not appear to understand or speak English well, making it difficult to communicate special cutting or cleaning instructions. Another concern is customer service. The staff responsible for cutting and preparing the fish are often not welcoming or friendly, which negatively impacts the overall shopping experience. Unfortunately, these issues have existed for a long time, yet there has been little or no noticeable improvement from store management. I hope management will consider increasing staffing during busy hours, improving English communication skills, and providing additional customer service training to create a more efficient and pleasant experience for customers.
I witnessed a cashier lady named Ling Ling say hi and welcome a man in front of me while checking out. When it was my turn at the checkout and I said "hi" with a smile on my face she ignored me, she didn't say a word. When she was done ringing me up, she handed the receipt over to my husband like I wasn't even there, mind you I was the person who made the purchase. I felt so unwelcomed. I am not sure if it's a representation of the entire establishment. It definitely felt like we were discriminated against. It definitely gave racist. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
