For shoppers stocking the pantry, preparing a family dinner, or looking for familiar flavors from across Asia, the store offers a useful mix of packaged goods, refrigerated items, seafood, and ready-to-eat food. One standout from local reviews is the prepared food and barbecue section. Several customers praise the cooked food across the store, including barbecue, soy chicken, marinated beef tendons, fish, crabs, and the seafood station. The fried noodles are also mentioned as a crowd-pleasing choice for catering, including a school event where both kids and parents enjoyed the food. For many regulars, though, the draw remains the food selection, seafood, barbecue, and convenience of having an Asian grocery store nearby. It is a place best suited for shoppers who know what they are looking for, enjoy browsing Asian ingredients, or do not mind taking a little extra time to compare labels and find the right item.

Great grocery selection, but the digital experience is frustrating. This is an excellent spot for Chinese and Asian groceries. They offer a wide variety of options and the quality is generally very high. However, their digital services need significant improvement. I encountered several issues: WiFi: The guest connection failed during the phone registration process. Website: Attempting to create an account online was unsuccessful. App: The user interface is very awkward; if I were rating the app alone, it would be 1/5 stars. The physical shopping experience is great, but in a digital-first age, the web and app platforms require a major overhaul.

This is one of the worst grocery stores I have ever encountered in my entire life! The product layout is completely disorganized, and most items lack English product information—or require a magnifying glass just to read the details. The glass doors on the refrigerated shelves are completely fogged over, making it incredibly difficult to see what products are inside or to locate specific items. The staff is extremely disrespectful; in fact, the rudest store employees I have ever met work right here. When you ask a question, they answer harshly without even making eye contact. They simply couldn't care less! The aisles are narrow, and there are always long lines at the checkout counters. Does this store not have a manager or a supervisor? If one exists, do they not have a responsibility to oversee the store and its staff? I have shopped at nearly a hundred grocery stores across Silicon Valley, and I have never seen a store as abysmal as this one.

The best barbecue in the south and east bay. Have lived recently in Pleasanton Dublin area. And previously in San Jose west valley Palo Alto area. And often visit San Mateo and Foster city area. This particular 99 ranch market store has the best tasting barbecue, soy chicken, marinated beef tendons, etc. make a trip to try the work of two senior chefs from South China. Have known the Sifu chefs for twenty years. The quality has kept up over time. Price performance is much better than top chinese restaurants near by.

This near where we at and so happy we have this in our neighborhood super delicious food, we get the tray as pictured probably just once a year for health reasons. It’s super delicious all they have in all their stores I meant the cooked food. The fish, crabs seafood station amazing, I like their people there so polite and friendly. The employees at the cooked food station are not nice, it’s okay with me no problem probably with some they might find them rude. The cashiers too need training for customer service but again for me it’s okay. I think Asian stores like these I am Asian they don’t treat me differently. But the store has so many things love it. I want then forever all around the US. I love this coffee too, I attached a picture it’s what I call our travel coffee. We have Nespresso and Keurig at home but when we travel it’s not the same so we have this coffee and so delicious, try it. We had this food the other day, the whole tray just $18 well it used to be $11 then $15 but still quite affordable. U Update 1/4/2026 I was at the store today, as always the associates at the fish section or frying at the back was quite helpful. We were there around 2:00 PM. Anahi too at the register was amazing. It was kind of refreshing seeing her smiles unlike the way it was on my previous visits. Thank you.

Here’s a polished Google Maps review you can use: ⸻ We recently ordered catering from 99 Ranch Market for a school event, and it was a great experience. Their food is always popular with our community—especially the fried noodles, which were a big hit with both kids and parents. We had misplaced the recipe/food details after the event, but the store manager Andrew and customer service representative Mr. Lin went out of their way to help us. They kindly reprinted everything for us without requiring another trip to the store, which we truly appreciated. Their team is very helpful, responsive, and supportive of school activities. Highly recommend their catering for any community or school event!!
