Sign in to reviewI would say this asian store is really clean and a lot of variety of food that you can pick from fresh produce, meat, snacks, condiments and spices. Definitely one of the stops that i can rely for asian stuffs. Free parking also is a nice thing for a shopper. We ate lunch on 2nd flr which serves combo meals for like $10-12.
First time at the 99 Ranch Market in Westwood today in the building that used to be a bookstore, then a Ross store. I love 99 Ranch Markets for my Asian foods, seafood and produce (with a lot of Asian vegetables and fruits you can't find at regular grocery stores) needs! It's not as big as some of the other 99 Ranch Market stores but there is plenty of free parking underground beneath the building. Was disappointed that it does not have a hot deli section or bakery on premise like other branches. I had hoped to get lunch there and eat it before I headed home (there's a food court upstairs on the second level with a small convenience store plus a food counter that was not open on a Saturday afternoon but had plenty of seating and tables). Huge sections with many brands of rice, shelf aisles of soy sauces, every flavor of Spam (I mention this for my friend who was having a hard time finding spicy Korean flavor Spam at regular stores) and spices in bulk packs. Smelled overwhelmingly bad inside the store with very strong seafood and ??? scent permeating, in spite of temperature controlled refrigeration and air conditioning. Guessing the air circulation gets bottled up with the way the store is divided into sections that snake around???
A Delightful Culinary Experience at 99 Ranch Market. I absolutely must share my wonderful experience at 99 Ranch Market! This isn't just a place to buy groceries; it's a true community hub, and the people who work here are genuinely kind and make all the difference. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by how incredibly helpful and welcoming the staff is. Whether I was looking for a specific asian sauce, needed advice on preparing an unusual vegetable, or just had a quick question about a brand of noodles, the employees went out of their way to assist. They didn't just point—they would often walk me right to the aisle and offer helpful tips. Their kindness feels completely genuine, creating a warm, neighborly atmosphere that is often missing in larger stores. Beyond the wonderful people, the selection is fantastic: The produce section is always pristine, with an excellent variety of exotic fruits and vegetables you won't find anywhere else. They stock everything from essential pantry items (rice, oils, spices) to a huge range of imported snacks, frozen goods, and high-quality seafood and meats. This is clearly a place run by people who know and love authentic Asian cuisine. If you're looking for a top-tier Asian supermarket with competitive prices and, most importantly, a staff that makes you feel valued and appreciated, look no means further than 99 Ranch Market. I look forward to every visit
The actual supermarket had a variety of offerings and was well organized and clean. However, I had brought my son to their bakery that day to get an Assam milk tea with boba. It was affordable and we were looking forward to trying something new. Imagine his disappointment when he found out that they were out of boba already. It was 5pm, so they had 5 hours left in their day and they were already out of their boba. Hoping to fix my son’s sadness, I saw a case of their freshly baked purple yams. We loved baked yams and buy them whenever we have the chance. However, there was a sign that said to ask the cashier to order the yams. We did, only to find out that they were out and that it would be another 40 minutes until we could have even one. We left disappointed and defeated.
I’m so glad 99 Ranch Market opened in Westwood. It’s the closest location to my place and has quickly become my go-to spot. This place is pretty clean and well organized. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and the store has everything I need, whether I’m picking up ingredients to make Asian food at home or just grabbing some of my favorite snacks. The prices are reasonable, and the whole shopping experience is super easy and convenient especially they have their own free parking garage on lower level. Highly recommend!
