Very big place, excellent for curious people like me where you can find lots of cultural sparks and enrichment. The fruits and veggies are awesome, and don't forget to buy some freshly cooked specialties to go. The only down side is some of the prices, but it's understandable since many of their items are indeed imports.

I get my seafood from Misael, the best seafood monger & the best fish in Orange County! The seafood counter here is clean! Fresh product that goes through a lot of volume. If I give him special requests he’s on top of it! This guy is my guy!

This place suffers from employees who have a negative attitude, especially at the seafood counter. For those of you who have been here - you know the tedious process already. You wait in line at seafood, then order something (in my case a catfish) then you must take the order sticker and wait in line again at the front register to pay for it, then return to the seafood counter to prove you’ve paid - and then, only then, will they cook it. ZERO TRUST. further they do a poor job, likely due to a poor manager. After going thru this crazy process with a simple catfish, they did not fry it enough so that when I arrived home and opened it the meat was RED. See pictures. In my opinion there is no reason to go here again. BTW also in my opinion most Asians will not give a true review like this one. They will say nothing. Ranch 99 - FIX THIS STORE.

Irvine has two 99 Ranch locations, and Tustin has one, each offering convenient meal options. With the new Aliso Viejo store, I expected something unique, but it fell short. I visited at 11:10 AM. The store was clean, but the food selection is quite disappointing. Unlike other locations, it only sells individual entrées—no combo lunch boxes. I also didn’t see steamed rice, fried rice, or chow mein. Does that mean I have to go home and cook rice again? Despite its size, it lacks a food court, which could have attracted more customers. The store felt empty, and without standout features, it’s unclear how it will bring in steady traffic. Will not return .

We just visited this new location in Aliso Viejo and it has a fantastic selection of produce, meats and fish. The variety of frozen shellfish, fish, appetizers etc is amazing. It’s one of my favorite places to shop for Chinese, Korean and Japanese ingredients. Definitely worth a visit!
