Took my car in due to check engine light and in limp mode. I was without my car for several days. They pulled the code, then cleared it. When I called to follow up all they did was ask if I had ever let my car get too low in oil, No. They said their approach at this point was to drive the car to see if they could get it to act up again. Since I was at this point taking the bus and needed to get to work I told them I would be picking the car up on Monday since at this time it was driving normally. When I picked it up they presented me with a bill for $188. On the bill it said they had performed checks on my car that had nothing to do with diagnosing a problem. They said they had checked my alternator and battery and that both were "fine" although this is no listed on the bill. Additionally, the terminals on my battery, for 188, could have at least been cleaned. They did next to no diagnosis for $188. I took my car to another mechanic who quickly diagnosed the alternator as almost dead and the battery as needs replacement. They also replaced dome lights with the proper lights and fixed my headlight, all very affordable and straight forward. I would avoid A-1.

Very disappointed with the service at A1 Automotive. I brought my car in three separate times for brake work and specifically asked them to inspect the vehicle this last time and complete any services needed to make it safe for a cross country trip because I plan to give the car to my niece. I also mentioned a squeaking noise when turning the wheel and asked them to look it over carefully. When I picked up the car, it was clear no real inspection had been done. Brian told me they checked everything, but he was referencing an old report. I know this because he said my battery would need to be replaced soon, even though I had already installed a brand new battery since my last visit. They also did not change my oil, even though it was past due and I asked them to complete all necessary services. After having my car for eight hours, the only thing they did was replace the brakes. Now I have to take my car somewhere else to get a proper inspection, which costs me more time and money, including paying for Ubers to pick it up. I will not be returning. If I could give their adorable shop dog five stars I would, but A1 Automotive itself only earns one.

I came in on a friend's recommendation to diagnose a sound after clipping a curb. While everyone at A-1 was friendly and professional, my car was misdiagnosed as needing two new CV axles. I was told that both were loose and easily moved by hand. I took it home, and when I couldn't replicate the loose axle, I looked for a second opinion. Another shop ensured that the axles were tight and didn't seem to have any issues, and that the sound was the product of the donut I had installed when the curb punctured the tire. After replacing the tire, my issues were resolved without needing the $1200 fix that I was quoted. Waste of $180 for the diagnosis.

this place is heaven sent in a greedy and money hungry society. i've lived in several different cities and have never met such kind and educational mechanics who CARE about building long term relationships with their clients. Brian went above and beyond for me with my Hyundai experiencing oil consumption issues. he is super experienced, passionate, educated and patient in explaining the intricacies of your cars issues. the prices are more than reasonable and I was brought to tears with the hope he gave me for a crappy situation i've been dealing with when Hyundai were downright disrespectful and sloppy with it. A1 saves you any unnecessary expenses and "repairs" and is more than willing to continue checking in on your car over time. I cannot recommend A1 Automotive enough! we have found our mechanic!!!!

To Brian and all the amazing workers. Thank you!!! Recently my daughter brought her Nissan in (It once belonged to me) I thought the Nissan Truck was on it's last" legs" tires....but a miracle was made. It runs! and runs amazing..The Nissan is a 2002. Thank your your place revived it....Antoinette
