Situated at 9221 Bolsa Ave, Westminster, CA 92683, the store sits in one of the most vibrant corridors of Little Saigon, making it a convenient stop for anyone seeking authentic ingredients for home-cooked Vietnamese and Southeast Asian meals. With nearly a thousand customer reviews and a solid four-star rating, A Dong Supermarket has built a reputation as a reliable, no-frills destination for everyday grocery shopping.
Step inside and you will find an impressive range of products that covers virtually every aisle of Asian cooking. The produce section features a wide selection of oriental fruits and vegetables, including fresh dragon fruit and rambutan at prices that shoppers frequently praise as very affordable. The meat and seafood counters offer fresh cuts and whole fish that are staples in Vietnamese kitchens. Beyond the fresh aisles, the store carries a broad inventory of frozen goods, packaged foods, and dry pantry essentials — from rice noodles and fish sauce to specialty snacks and cooking sauces. Customers note that the layout is thoughtfully organized, with clear labels guiding you through each section so you can find what you need without wandering.
One of the biggest draws of A Dong Supermarket is its pricing. Regular shoppers appreciate that prices are generally reasonable and that the store frequently runs deals on popular grocery items. Whether you are stocking up on weekly basics or hunting for hard-to-find ingredients for a specific recipe, the value here tends to be competitive compared to other markets in the Westminster area. The store maintains a clean environment that many reviewers consider an improvement over some other Asian grocery options nearby.
The supermarket operates seven days a week from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, giving shoppers plenty of flexibility for early morning runs or late-evening visits. Parking is ample thanks to a large lot, which is a practical benefit given how popular the Bolsa Avenue corridor can be. That said, the store does tend to draw crowds, especially during weekend peak hours, so visiting during weekday mornings or early afternoons can make for a more relaxed experience.
A Dong Supermarket is an excellent fit for home cooks who want authentic Vietnamese ingredients without making multiple stops. Families planning large gatherings, meal preppers looking for variety, and anyone curious about Southeast Asian cuisine will find the selection welcoming and the staff accustomed to helping customers navigate unfamiliar items. Whether you are a long-time Westminster resident or passing through Little Saigon for the first time, A Dong Supermarket offers a genuine, well-stocked shopping experience that keeps locals coming back.

Sign in to reviewStopped by since in the way to get some veggies and seafood for dinner. This market has been here since the area started but under different branch and change of ownership couple time I believed. I shopped here couple time since it opened but 1st time since this branch took over. Parking is huge but depending when you go so it can be crowed and hectic at time. There is that old Asian market smell (mixed of fish/meat/and veggies all together) upon entering. Fresh veggies and fruits. Meats and seafood are good cooking and plenty of selection. Prices wise are reasonable and affordable for sure. Staff are stiff and seem not quite happy (and I’m here at 9am), they can be abit friendly…but overall not bad.
Vietnam 🇻🇳 Thai market. Most oriental produce and fruits. Lots of frozen, fresh, and packed products. Fresh Dragon and Rambotan fruits are very inexpensive. After my visit 5 years ago, I revisited A Dong Supermarket again today. It’s still good and worth a visit from those who crave oriental food. …
You buy many Vietnamese food and items there. Price is acceptable. It is a little bit smelly but it is typical for an Asian grocery.
Supermarket has everything you need to cook your Vietnamese dishes. From produce, to meats and seafoods, to dry goods. Every area is labeled for your convenience. Store generally doesn't smell like some other markets I've been to. Clean store compared to others. Prices are good. They usually are at where other competitors if not, beat their prices. Overall, great market.
Not the best, but not the worst. They have all of the usual and basic grocery items. Usually when I come, there are decent deals on certain groceries and a wide variety. They almost always have my mom’s favorite vegetables and greens. It is often crowded, however, and gets tough during peak times. The meat deli counter was really crowded today and they don’t have a number system so it was pretty hectic. My mom and I waited for 10 minutes before we were helped because people kept cutting in front of us. Compared to other supermarkets in the area, this one is actually kind of small. There are less than 10 aisles and it’s also kind of dirty. Being dirty is actually pretty normal for Asian supermarkets, but this one seems a lot dirtier than others. The parking might be difficult as well because it’s in the heart of Little Saigon, right across the Asian Garden Mall, and in a popular plaza. My family and I always manage to find a parking spot though so it shouldn’t be too big of a problem. Overall, a decent choice.
