A New U Salon

A New U Salon is a beauty salon at 27 NE Killingsworth St, Portland, OR 97211, serving clients in Portland, Oregon. Customer reviews describe a place for hair services, including haircuts and relaxers, with individual stylists and a barber among the people clients return to. The salon has a 4.7-star rating from 60 reviews. Feedback is mostly positive, while one reviewer describes a disappointing service and a price that differed from what they discussed by phone. That mix of experiences offers useful context for anyone comparing local salons: clients praise the care and results they have received, but it is sensible to confirm service details and pricing before an appointment.

Several reviewers highlight Flenard, also called Flen, for hair and barbering. One long-time client says they have trusted him with their hair for more than five years and appreciates that appointments help avoid a long wait. Another reviewer says they drive about 30 minutes to see him and are consistently pleased with the results. These comments point to a convenient option for people who value a scheduled visit and a stylist or barber they can return to. If you have a particular cut or hair goal in mind, discussing it with the salon before booking can help make sure the requested service and timing are clear.

Owner Chisa is described by a reviewer as professional, and the shop as clean and welcoming to clients. That customer also appreciated being started on time and reported positive experiences on visits. Another reviewer gives Mariah credit for leaving them feeling like a refreshed version of themselves. Together, these comments suggest an atmosphere where clients may appreciate a friendly team, personal attention, and a service experience that begins as scheduled. The reviews reflect individual visits rather than a guarantee, but they offer specific examples of what returning customers value at A New U Salon.

Located on NE Killingsworth Street in Portland, A New U Salon may suit people looking for a neighborhood beauty salon and hair services with appointment-based scheduling noted by a customer. Reviews mention haircuts, barbering, relaxers, and nails, although experiences are not uniform; one customer was unhappy with the haircut, relaxer outcome, and final charge. To set clear expectations, ask which stylist handles your service, describe the result you want, and confirm the price before work begins. The salon's posted hours are not available in the listing, so contact the business directly to check availability and arrange a visit. For Portland residents and visitors comparing local options, the reviews provide both practical praise and a reminder to discuss details in advance.
